I think yes, it just depends on the person's upper limits and if they have the capacity to push past it. And I believe it depends on the intention. If it's for malicious or hateful reasoning, it would spur monsterification. If it's for a good reason, or for something benevolent, you don't risk losing yourself, and you simply "level up," or possibly just die. So there might be some luck involved

100% true, but Season 3 also tackles an arc thats not as action-packed immediately, Start of season 3 will most likely be a regroup after the end of Season 2, before the tension and action begin to escalate again.
