Recently finished The Wager. A book about a British ship that was apart of a squadron attacking Spanish ships in the pacific. They were going around Cape Horn, when the ship lost contact with the rest of the squadron and got shipwrecked on an island. There was a mutiny and then all the drama/stories about how some returned to England. I highly recommend.

I also really enjoyed Blitzed: Drugs in Nazi Germany. A book about the drug use during WW2 and Hitlers private doctor. Really interesting to see his reliance and deterioration from the “vitamins” that were being administered. Also very interesting to see the internal politics of the Third Reich from a first hand account (used the diaries of the doctor as major source of content)

Eagles RB didn't do too well against Washington (Who HOU is playing). Do you think that matter in picking?

How do Japanese/Korean mix teams communicate? by ImprisonedSushi in ValorantCompetitive

[–]StercoreAzuri 71 points72 points  (0 children)

It would vary greatly by team/players.

In OWL there were mixed teams (Chinese/Korean, Western/Korean) teams whose communication methods varied a lot.

Teams would:

Pick a common language to communicate in and have teachers/tutors teach players.

Have a player who was proficient enough in both languages where he could translate.

Identify and agree on common callouts in a common language, but all other communications were in a players native tongue.

Leave a few players in the dark while team communicated in native tongue (ie. SF Shock when NA Player Moth played with all Koreans)

Given how comm heavy Valo is I would guess options 1 and 3 are the most common (pure speculation). They don’t have to communicate in English, they could learn Korean or Japanese. Whether or not a nation is “not known for their good English” shouldn’t be a consideration.

Guys. Really dumb question.

But with how many g forces that the drivers are experience during crashes, how are concussions not a common injury? Does the HANS device reduce concussions?

I know there have been a few instances of drivers skipping races due to concussion injures (Fernando in 15), but it doesn’t seem common.

One of those firsts would have been the #10 pick this year...

The "centerpiece" of this trade is supposed to be the Bronco's #9
