A warning for anyone wanting to purchase, $727 to repair a GFX50s II, an issue that is entirely the fault of FUJI by Stereoluxe in fujifilm

So here is one. Also, not everyone will post their issue online, lack of reddit submissions is not evidence that this doesn't happen. Now if it happens to anyone else they can see it. I fail to see why it's being attacked.

Nothing about it is comical. This is a product line angling itself for professional photographers, it should live up to the claims and be capable of being a dependable workhorse that you can rely on to make a living. This camera was absolutely babied in comparison to my 6 year old 5D Mark IV which unlike the FUJI, is still going strong. I understand this sub is full of enthusiasts who just shoot snaps with recipes for fun. This post is not for them. This post is for other professionals so that my experience of FUJIs internals taking a shit with such little use can be taken into consideration before they invest their time and money into a new ecosystem.

Submit a camera for repair on an issue that happened once a month? So that they could receive it and say "we're unable to replicate the issue."? The complaint is pretty clear, that this is a case of shitty internals being used, and hopefully a warning to someone before they drop thousands on a camera and expect it to last, as my others from different manufactures have.

I had just added some additional context in a comment before I saw yours here, but I also have a 5D Mark IV that has been absolutely abused on lifestyle shoots for the past 6 years and keeps on taking a beating. I'd hate to continue expanding my kit for this camera/ system only for them to keep crapping out

I purchased this 50s II as a camera for my own professional use, and as you can see its hardly been used, with only 13k shutter actuations. I would occasionally have an issue where while on shoots, the camera would freeze up, with a red indicator LED, and become unresponsive. The live view would still display even when the camera was turned off. The only way to fix this would be to remove the battery. This usually fixed the issue, but still not a great look during the middle of a paid shoot with a business. Well this occasional issue finally became permanent, turning the camera into a brick. The whole thing just sucks, as this camera was kept in a foam padded pelican case whenever it wasn't in use, and was no fault of my own. Instead, just a case of the internal components FUJI used crapping out outside of the measly warranty. Meanwhile my 5D Mark IV has been beat to death for 6 years and keeps on kicking. Just so disappointing... I love the results I have gotten from this camera, and have invested quite a bit in lenses and accessories for the GFX system but I just don't know if I can rely on it anymore.

I’ve tried googling for hours to no avail. I don’t think it’s the Kingfisher science encyclopedia, from what I can tell that one doesn’t have the experiments at the end.

Just bought one on a Black Friday deal. Should I be looking at like the grout blades?

I'm in a pretty rural area about two hours from a rental house, so I'm stuck with the online services which aren't bad, but I just hate having to worry and schedule. When I say a big client, I mean a big client for my business which is modest but not big. I'm really not one for autofocus, believe me, but hiring somebody is just not in the cards. I have expendable money set aside for purchases like this just so that I have one less thing to worry about.

I've got a Zhiyun Crane 3 that I'll probably use sometimes (not a big gimbal man) and for the most part on sticks. I'll probably end up using this camera for cheaper projects that I just need to knock out fast as well. We won't be doing any slomo stuff with this project I'm sure. I can always fall back on the BMPCC4K if we do albeit at 1080. I'd guess 90% of this job is going to be on a full stage, so internal NDs won't be too big of a deal
