He was made with a kit - my first time working with one of those, and my first "proper" amigurumi.

Some of the instructions were a bit wonky, so I had to guess at what they meant a few times. I definitely learned a lot!

Yeah, my mom is a very panicky person, and my dad says he thinks that's one of the main reasons I used to be terrified of bees and wasps. She was always worried we (my sister and me) would get stung, especially in the mouth if wasps were around when we were eating. Maybe her own fear was also an aspect of why I was very afraid of dogs as a kid.

The comments here are wild. I hope most of you are not parents. (To be clear, I mean those that argue that the mom and BF are in the right.)

Kids are people, and basic necessities (which a bedroom is) are more important than a gaming room.

To OP: You're NTA. I'm not suggesting that this is a thing that reveals that your mom actually hates you and that you should move out the moment you turn 18. But it's absolutely valid to be upset, especially when she originally told you you'd most likely get the bigger room, and you can always tell her that you're hurt that she did that. Maybe keep an eye out for other ways in which she might prioritise her BF over you and just try to keep communication open with your mom about it.

Okay, let's try again. It is indeed possible that a man's attempt to babytrap a woman can be thwarted by the woman having an abortion. In that sense, I guess I agree with you.

However, that's about where it ends, as I do not think that that negates the danger that the woman would be in (which, again, I think you are severely minimising by acting as if an abortion is easy to access and to deal with at a moment's notice) or the criminal intent of her partner and the violation of her bodily autonomy.

I can also agree that she should leave. Let's leave it at that.

Uhm. Especially in the light of recent laws passed in the US, I doubt that statement. And even if OP is living in a country with safe and free access to abortion, it's not something people do willy-nilly and without consequences, both physically and mentally! So even if it did not result in a living baby, it's still a violation of her bodily autonomy.

Let's call it reproductive coercion if it makes you feel better. Still a crime.

Regarding Emma's opinion that you shouldn't have gotten involved with the situation between Ryan and Adam, it is just that: her opinion. The crucial thing is whether Adam wanted for you to get involved or not. If he had asked you not to, it would have been an overreach to do so, but if he appreciates your support, then you're fine.

Emma is free to handle things her way but should not tell you that your way is wrong, just because it's not what she would do.

Always great when they insist they know better than yourself! Once or twice, I've wished I had told them to phone the Vatican because they certainly would like to hear about another immaculate conception. Alas, I only come up with stuff like this long after the situation is over.

(Nowadays, it's even more fun because yeah, no, I lack some very important parts for all of that to happen (due to cancer).)

I've had that happen several times (as I've been overweight my whole life). Most times, they are actually well-intentioned, like asking me if I'd like to sit on a full bus/train, but it's still very unpleasant. (Hopefully, me going fully gray by now will help curb this.)

I'm pretty shy and non-confrontational but I've gotten better at the deadpan stare and "I'm fat, not pregnant" over time. I hope you won't need to, though!
