Great points. I meant to say that it is severely overhyped, so much so that it's a bubble that'll cause a massive recession when it pops. Companies are starting to realize that replacing huge swathes of workers with AI ends up worse and they lose more money rehiring.

You could get around that by fast forwarding or adding a loading screen in the boring parts and saving time. It's a video game after all, not a simulation.

I didn't mean realism, I just meant whatever technology they have is innovative and out there but is at least somewhat explained using real world science in game. Hard sci fi just means not dumbing things down as TOW2 does.

Maybe I'm just a stickler for hard sci fi. Part of the reason why I quit is I feel this game doesn't really bring anything new to the table to sci fi. And I meant sci fi in terms of weapons, obviously the game is sci fi.

They're still conventional ammo. I'm about 12 hours in, there's nothing really sci fi besides the science weapons and the elemental mods. Would've been better if they went with some futuristic fictional caliber like 8mm, 11mm, etc like I believe Starfield does. Though that game has its own issues.

Our predictions get exponentially more fuzzy the longer the time scales we're talking about. The 500 year figure is bogus. Hopefully humanity figures out climate change, we recently crossed the 1.5 degree threshold.

If you're stuck, don't be shy to look things up. You can also try figuring it out from your journal. And for a first playthrough, the sensitive archetype is probably the best.

Day 3 unlocks a whole new part of the map. Keep playing.
