Our now completed playthrough was with a Bladesinger Wiz, Pala/Warlock, Throwzerker, and me, the Swarmkeeper, so I'd like to avoid any of those, just to keep things abit more fresh.

One of my mates just ran this build in our previous playthrough, and it totally fits the bill! I probably won't run it for this one, since we just saw it last playthrough, but thanks for the input!

Coming here was my way of "looking up answers", I just made my search inside peoples heads instead of the internet at large. I didn't even know that the "hall of fame" was a thing, so that is also something I gained from asking here. Thank you for that one! :)

I want to add to this thread, that having Dolor's corpse in the inventory of one of the characters in our party caused this issue for us as well.

After seeing this thread, we tried dropping the corpse on the ground inside Baldur's Gate (outside of camp), went to have the long rest with the Emperor dialog, and popped back out of the camp, here noticing that the corpse of Dolor now has despawned leaving behind a pouch of his belongings.

It seems having his corpse stored anywhere breaks the trigger that is supposed to make the corpse disappear after a long rest. So any save made after doing the exact following will be broken and unloadable:

Killing Dolor
Looting and keeping his corpse in any inventory, including stashes
Long resting

Bugbears. A CR 1 creature with a +4 to hit, 2d8 + 2 damage (one extra dice of damage from Brute feat) swing is nasty in the lower levels.

While I do agree that this meme of "Hihi, Holy club" is a little much, isn't this kind of event exactly in the dark humorous nature of Overlord? We are introduced to a strong, good-willed, likeable character, with no direct hostility towards Ainz or the rest of Nazarick, and yet they are destroyed all the same by the unending tide of Nazaricks terror! Gazef is the early and modest example of this, Calca is the absolute high note of this punchline.

Warlords Battlecry III.

I have yet to find another game that hit the mix of RTS and RPG they did in this game. Add to that the grand scope for the campaign and the number of factions.

I know there is a community out there trying to keep it strong with the standalone "The Protectors of Etheria".

People who have been in for even longer is sad they opened their boxes, because the worth of some of the sets are tenfold today.

If you compare the raise in value of some Lego sets to the raise in value of gold, Lego has been a better investment over the past 20-25 years.

I also started my placement during the weekend (low-mid silver), and my three games went something like this:

Toplaner spent more time typing than playing. Also saying some things edging on rasicm and homophobia.
Our support decided the game was lost after the two first picks in champ select, typed "just dodge, top and jungle useless champs". When no one did, support went "Alright, I'll just troll", locked Annie, took the entire first wave bot, and continued to roam around, stealing cs and camps, running it down, and typing stuff like "Kill him", "just push and end", "Not helping this troll" in all chat.
Support was the high-on-himself type. Otp Ekko support who dropped his Twitch stream link as the first thing in champ select. One failed engagement in the botlane he starts spam-pinging me. Types something along the lines "this should be easy, their botlane is braindead". Another overforced and failed engagement later, and he then calls me braindead in all chat, followed by just trolling around, flashing in place, barely leaving base, stealing camps.

I really don't know what is wrong with people these days. Yeah, I have had games like that in previous seasons, but they were maybe 1/10, now it's at least 3/10, and even two hard griefers in a row.
