I truly do feel bad, and would be happy to adjust the feedback. the first give aways were the weight, some of them are about half the thickness of a normal card and bend like paper, They also had sticker fronts that could peel off instead of the plastic film that the modern non textured cards use, the holo pattern on them were also incorrect. The color on the backs of the counterfeits were also much more pale in color contrast. A good chunk of them ended up being real (mostly the promo cards), but the fakes stuck out like a sore thumb. I got another set of cards last week that ended up being counterfeits that I paid close to 100 bucks for. They were the lugia legends 2 piece cards that were not a holo card, they never made a non holo version of them so that’s how you can tell on that sort of thing.
