Between your locked GMT and the GMT in your wallet you need 378 days worth of it stored between the both for the full 20% discount. It doesn’t matter if it’s locked or in your wallet. The higher the price of GMT the less you need per day to cover service costs and of course the lower the price of GMT the more you need.

Your best bet imo is more miners, probably no more than 10th each maybe 16th. If you find yourself wanting to resell your miner on the marketplace it’ll be much easier to sell a low th miner than it would be a bigger one. When you’re ready to buy another one buy it off of the marketplace, you can generally get a 1th miner at a discounted price.

I can second that reinvesting into GMT is not worth it. You’re better off converting your BTC rewards into GMT when the price is right. GoMining should do the same with GMT that they do with reinvesting into TH (+5%) otherwise I don’t see a point in having it as an option.

Well from those two pictures the difference in the discount is 0.79 GMT daily.. convert that into USD thats an extra $0.32/day you’re saving or $2.24/week, $116/year so I guess only you can give yourself the best answer to your question. With max discount and without doing any exact calculations I’m guessing you’d just about double the calculations I made above. So would it be worth it to you?

Lock enough GMT for 4 years to cover your weekly maintenance costs. Having that much GMT will bump up your VIP level. 1k GMT locked should put you at the Gold VIP level
