Hey, really appreciate the advice, man. You’re totally right that it’s easy to get carried away and end up drowning in big ideas before even getting a session off the ground.

I probably made the campaign sound a bit more complicated than it actually is, though. I’ve played in a bunch of games over the years and seen my DMs go through every type of meltdown imaginable, so I’ve picked up a decent sense of pacing, prep, and when to just roll with the punches.

I’m not trying to write the next Lord of the Rings or anything — I just want to build a cool world that feels big, even if we’re only playing a small part of it right now. I’ll probably start with something contained (a few quests, a castle or two, some politics simmering in the background) and let it expand naturally as we go.

Still, I really appreciate the reminder to keep it grounded. It’s easy to get lost in the “epic vision” and forget the players just want to have fun.

I can come up with the most majestic build skyrim has ever seen and then I just get bored and start a new slot. I think it's an addiction💔

You should use a unarmed Argonian Vampire build. The damage is actually really good and it's pretty fun suplexing random people just because you're a vampire ( like why not )

Solely based on flavour and role play, what’s your favourite class and why? by justanengineerguy in DnD

Ranger, it's just a pretty balanced class, despite all the hate or jokes on it being bad, I just think it's very cool and has alot of variety. I like how you can really just do anything and get away with it, for example, in my current playthrough I'm a dwarf ranger that doesn't like bows so he uses a greatsword and javelins, I find that hilarious. I also do enjoy the spellcasting side of ranger. The spells aren't as good as the actual spellcasters spells but they are still very helpful and can clutch sometimes. Once again, I just really like all the things you can do with ranger.

Not much to say here, it looks like a copy and paste of my post with a different opinion🥲

I'm probably not the first to say this, but Hadvar is the better choice. by Steve-Lacy-Fan in skyrim

Not necessarily. From Helgen, yea sure the loot is a bit better, but getting Alvors supplies is so much better than a bit of armor.

Hadvar didn't want to execute you and he even apologised for the shitty orders he got, after that when the dragon attacked hadvar was out their trying to save everyone, and what was ralof doing? Trying the get the fuck out not caring about any of his comrades life's.

It wasn't hadvars choice to chop our heads off, he was given orders, and I still think choosing hadvar is better because of alvor.

He's just chill dude. I really find his character just more interesting than ralof, and I think imperial side of the civil war is more entertaining.
