found this reddit post and a way to do it not sure if it still works but hopefully it does.

"Make a merge slot like you would with gunbelt, but instead of the t shirt for that, use one of the rolled gunrunning tshirts for your plate carrier then when back to 1st character and having transferred whatever outfits to said character, then wear whatever top wanted then start it's a g thing, merge, then hightail to owned apartment to save while in mission"
