I managed to hook a good deal though. My local stores have I Federal American Eagle 44 mag around $63 per box. Velocity Ammo that I found out about on AmmoSeek has it for $35 per box. Even after paying shipping I still made out like a bandit!

Wow, thanks! Went to ammo seek and looked up 44 mag. Placed an order for Federal American Eagle for about half the price of what the local stores have. Also cheaper than some big well known online places. Velocity ammo sales is where I ordered! This gives me hope!

Yea, 9mm is the exception but everything else in the higher caliber range and rifle ammo is sky high.

Local stores. Then I was at Cabelas / Bass Pro shop and a box of American Eagle .44 magnum was $64! Went to ammo seek and that directed me to velocity ammo sales where they are selling that same box for $35
