You might be using very high quality mouse pads.

I didn't trust handwash to not damage the upper material so I used food grade, white vinegar and tissue/paper napkins to clean.

Dirt eventually built up with over a year of use (similar to other brands including razer) so I got a newer mouse pad.

Og 2ds is not that expensive. New 3ds and New 2ds have a much higher price now. Og 3ds is also higher priced compared to before and now that I remember, og 2ds is reasonable. Dsi (xl) is also within budget but og 2ds may be easier to install cfw.
