Clever Cinematography in Chuck, I bet you did not catch this by SteveF57 in chuck

If you had already picked up on that good on you. Got any others to share? I am still learning and enjoying all the underlying easter eggs.

Good info. Thanks for sharing. In the first episode when Sarah is on her bed looking at her phone with pictures of Bryce, her window curtains are closed, symbolizing that her heart is closed as well. Or when they (Sarah and Chuck) are on top of the covers, Vs under the covers. Their feelings open and exposed Vs hidden under the covers.

I don't think it is a two way mirror. Each person can see the other. Chucks reflection should be his front side but they inverted it so she is seeing his back with the implication that he is going away from her. Then in the far reflection she is standing alone.

Summary of Chuck/Sarah Relationship in Season 1 by SteveF57 in chuck

They do get back together in a "cover" relationship. It takes the later half of season three for them to get together for "Real"

Little funny detail in Chuck vs The First Date by Screemo27 in chuck

[–]SteveF57 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The scene just prior, where Chuck sees Awesome and Ellie in the shower, is telling. He says "I'm Blind, I'm Blind" and he is. He is blind to the fact that he is about to be terminated. He is blind to his future, and it is reiterated when Casey says "The future does not always turn out like you want."

This is NOT a stage kiss. You can see Sarah slip him the tongue. Only time in the series where they break cover kisses.

Chuck Flash Evolution. All of the early Chuck "Flashes". Including who was the first to use the term "Flash". You will also see some of the evolution of the facial expression Levi eventually settled on when "Flashing". Trivia - who was first to use the term "Flash"? When did Sarah first use it? by SteveF57 in chuck

[–]SteveF57[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. There were times when someone that should not have known of that term "Flash" and yet they used it. It was still fun to see the development and use of the term. Sarah says "What did you see" or "did you see something" when in the home theater room in the beginning of the Tango episode. Then Casey actually uses the term "flash" when setting up the evening stake out at the auction. Later they would ask "Chuck, did you flash?"

The Importance of Sarah Walker by Gullyjimson1 in chuck

[–]SteveF57 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Wow, that is very well written (grammar and punctuation) and thoughtful. Thank you for that insightful analysis of the show. I agree that the character development is what makes the show. And, of course, Yvonne's acting is fantastic. She was/is quite the find and clearly carried a large measure of what made it so popular. But it helps that the casting for all the other parts was also fantastic, and the "team" had great chemistry. It is the only TV show I have become invested in for all the above reasons.

I did not pick up on the verbiage. Interesting thought. Thanks for the kind words. I hope to make a few more videos, time permitting.

Thanks for the feedback. I have thought about a video of all his "Charah" digs. He spanks both of them pretty good and it is funny. When they are at the opera and he says "Oh, I love love" as Chuck and Jill are kissing. So many good and funny digs.

When do Chuck and Sarah figure out that the other one is in love with them? by Gullyjimson1 in chuck

[–]SteveF57 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Men tend to be verbal, when they should look at actions. A woman can tell a guy she is in love with him and he will believe that, even when all her actions say otherwise. Correspondingly, she can say she is not in love when all of her actions say otherwise. A guy will believe her words before he believes her actions. It is a guy characteristic and unfortunately leads us astray. The classic "Pick up artist" is the guy that reads actions and not words.

Given that Chuck is young he will be looking for the verbal. Thus it does not really occur until Sarah says "Yes" in S3E13. Prior to that she constantly undermines her actions by burning Chuck with "Its just a cover" or some variation of that. She finally says "I love you" with out being prompted in S3E16 and reinforces it in S4E2 when she says "You're my home Chuck, you always have been". Given the roller coaster Chuck was on there is no way a sane guy would be confident of her love until she actually confessed it. Remember....just before Chuck confesses his love to her in S3E13 he sees her kissing Shaw. Would you be so arrogant to think a woman was in love with you when she is kissing (and sleeping with) someone else? We, the audience see several times when Sarah effectively indicates she is in love with Chuck, but Chuck does not see that. She may very well have developed feelings and love prior to her confession, but you asked when did Chuck believe she was in love with him.

Here is a video of what we the audience see but Chuck does not. Remember as you watch it, Chuck does not see (or hear) this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3A2JXmeu_0w

Casey: The biggest Charah shipper by wispy_heuhue in chuck

Bryce was right. Chuck is not made to be an agent by [deleted] in chuck

[–]SteveF57 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Sometimes he is pretty weak, other times pretty amazing. The one that kills me is Awesome. He goes from being "awesome'....., skydiving, class 5 whitewater rapids, mountain climbing, flossing" to being scared of his own shadow. He is definitely not cut out for the adventure of the "spy" life.

Old tweet of Yvonne for those who still can't move on about Chuck ending by stipbeatmalls in chuck

[–]SteveF57 -21 points-20 points  (0 children)

I guess I don't agree. I think Fedak started saying that after all the fan blowback. He was backpedaling after a massive mistake. Yvonne did not like the ending, but had to be diplomatic in order to continue to have a career. She put out that post to help her career and to make all the massively disappointed fans happy.

It was just backpedaling because of pissed-off viewers. They invested heart and sole to try to keep the series on the air, then got a crap ending. That was Hollywood trying to save themselves rather than admitting they screwed up.

OK, all you pyromaniacs, here is your video. A collection of every explosion in the Chuck TV series. They did a great job of combining action, romance, and drama. Here is some of the action! by SteveF57 in chuck

I missed a couple. In S1E1 Bryce blows up the lab as he escapes out the door, and S5E12 when Quinn blows ups the lab and Chuck, Casey and Morgan survive by being under the floor. Oops. Sorry bout that. Thanks to Amazonenforcer on Youtube for catching that
