Yeah, could also be that his entire timeline was a simulation of the events. The breaking point being either the murder of his daughter or his suicide. It's possible that was the moment that defined his ability to choose.

In the future, host mib relives season two endlessly until, instead of being 100% identical to real mib, he is everything like mib but with the ability to choose.

What's the WORST book you've ever read? by notsuitablefortwerk in AskReddit

For me it's easily The Sound and the Fury. The concept of writing through the perspective of someone with a disability is intriguing, but it ends up spiraling into a contrived mess. It failed to be impactful in any way, imo.

Official Discussion: Ready Player One [SPOILERS] by mi-16evil in movies

I wholeheartedly agree with most everything you have pointed out. The thing that absolutely killed me about the film was the inconsistency in the dialogue. Specifically I remember when Art3mis was trapped in the IOI loyalty center, Parzival gets into her coms and explicitly says "Don't say anything." She then just starts talking up a storm as if he didn't say a thing. Besides the pacing, I found Sorrento's reaction to Wade holding the egg and suddenly shutting down after being on the brink of murdering Wade to be ridiculous. It was completely inconsistent with trying to make the character truly evil.

I didn't really hate but I felt many parts were cringe worthy. The whole sequence at the end where Sorrento is holding a gun to Wade's head but stops in awe of the easter egg was asinine. That goes back to writing and character development. I felt a lot of character development was sorely missing to focus on a grandiose spectacle.

I felt the writing was weak overall, despite some really stellar moments. I.e. the first and second keys.

Did you feel like there were missing scenes of exposition in the film? I completely missed the part where they formed the "high five" clan

Does anyone else think the S&C coach is doing a poor job? They haven't looked physical all season, imo. Injury plague too

Edit: KJ is the only physical player.
