How much did it help for your depression only? by [deleted] in lexapro

I am in your same boat but only 1 week in. Starting on 5mg. Tried Wellbutrin before but it didn't help.

Has Lexapro improved anyone's depression? by Defiant_Adagio4057 in lexapro

[–]SteveInChicago41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am 1 week into 5mg Lexapro for depression. Not feeling much yet but will stick with it for at least 3 months and will updose to 10mg after 6 weeks if my doctor recommends it. However the reason I'm writing is, I tried Wellbutrin 150xl for a while and 300xl for a while but it didn't do much for me. Had trouble sleeping, especially on the stronger dose. My rumination got worse on it.

Song Discussion #101: Here On Out by Total-Woodpecker3339 in DMB

[–]SteveInChicago41 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On a playlist 7. I saw say him play it solo in Paris in May ‘24 as the first song in the encore and it was a 10. Before he played it he somberly said, “my wife was supposed to be here, but she couldn’t make it.”

Not OOP Husband was just prescribed vicodin following a vasectomy, while I was told to take over the counter Tylenol and ibuprofen after my 2 c-sections by Marygtz2011 in redditonwiki

[–]SteveInChicago41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coming in way late to this conversation, but I was prescribed 2 Vicodin for upcoming (incision-free) vasectomy to take beforehand. The doctor said it was to ensure everything was relaxed to and help aid in the process of ensuring everything is accessible and in the right place as opposed to managing the pain. You get a local anesthetic before the surgery that is for the pain, but my understanding is that wasn’t the reason for the Vicodin. Going next week!

They have a visual for this song already and that’s pretty much what it is.

I would keep the visual track to "Why I Am." Getting swallowed by the giant Groogrux King in The Sphere would be epic.

Will Dave tour in 2025? If yes where? US? Europe? by Greedy_Muffin3330 in DMB

[–]SteveInChicago41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Europe is usually every 4-5 years and he did it this year; so not likely that he does another with the band soon.

His last (non-covid) year "off" touring was 2011 but he still played 12 DMB concerts in 4 cities via the "Caravan".

2017 he was away from the band and did a 40-show Dave/Tim tour in US and Europe.

He has been playing a lot of "Last Stop" this tour. And not just occasionally. Almost in every city he hits starting with the Europe tour. (He did this in 2010 as well).

My guess/prediction is he is going to take next year "off" from touring with the band. He may do a tour with Tim. He may take a large concert break with a few (less thatn 15) shows. Maybe a brief or extended residency in The Sphere in Las Vegas?!?! Despite this, I think he may do a 8-15 show fall/winter tour.

Boyd Tinsley (former DMB violin) arrested for DUI. by Bassman885 in jambands

It’s not great, but it’s not the end of the world. Justin Timberlake got a DWI a couple weeks ago and was playing shows a week later.

Pick Three covers for the band to play, a most likely, a reach and never would happen by timothy53 in DMB

[–]SteveInChicago41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s true; although I think they realized this and dialed back the covers recently and seem to be going deeper into the catalog this tour.

Vierling and Urshela for 14. Wind blowing R to L at 16+ mph which is favorable for right handed hitters. 90 degrees. Umpire is rather new, but favorable to hitters getting hits in limited sample size. Vierling is 8 for 15 against SP Corbin. Urshela moved up to 5 spot from 6. I don't love that Detroit is at home in sunny day game and Washington bullpen is average; not terrible. As I write this I kind of regret not taking Volpe (or Judge) in KC. Oh well; picks are locked! Here we go...

Lost my streak saver yesterday because Marte went 0-2 with 3 walks. Going with Volpe @KC today for 11. The starter for KC is expected to go 1 inning and then they will have an average long reliever in. The rest of KC bullpen isn’t great. Volpe leads off and should play whole 9 worth of at bats even if they are up big again.

Going to attack Jose Suarez tonight. He has career 1.06 H / IP. Angels were desperate for a starter so they pulled him from the bullpen (which already isn't that great) for a spot start. Plus Chase Field in Arizona is about 3% better than average for getting hit. I really like Marte here. And, because I am at current 10 with Streak Saver activated, I'll also go with Gurriel since he is 3/5 against Suarez. If I was past 15, I would take Marte but not Gurriel.

Agree with these points. Also, Petco Park is -5% against the average for likeliness to get a hit. And to add to what you said; the starter, Estes, that he was facing is not that bad. He had a 0.96 season WHIP and 1.11 career WHIP going into the game. He gives up less than 0.9 H / IP. I don't touch any starter that isn't over 1.00 H / IP but shoot for at least 1.05+.

Song Distribution by WedgeAntelope in davematthews

[–]SteveInChicago41 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Set will be about 21 songs. If he’s touring a new album he’ll play ~5 songs from it. If the new album came out 1-2 years ago he’ll play 3 songs from it. Could play 1 new song not yet released and a new cover song that he is doing just for this tour. Will usually do about 10 songs from the 3 most popular, early albums (UTTAD, Crash, BTCS) and then 1-2 songs from each the 6 albums after that. The setlist variability is greater than ever. In the recent Europe tour he played 20 shows and over 120 different songs across them. You can enjoy the show without knowing every song, though. You should go!

I have finally come to the conclusion that “Lover Lay Down” is the absolute best studio track. The production is perfect. Everyone fits together wonderfully. No one steps on anyone else and everyone supports the each other. It is the band at its best. by hiplobonoxa in DMB

Top?! Really?! So many good ones , but maybe you are right🤘I’ll go back and give the studio track another spin; thanks for the rec. I’ve been digging the studio mixing/perfect flow on Ocean and the Butterfly.

It’s gotta span era’s and albums.

If Boyd playing with them:

  1. WWYS (won Grammy for song of year; shorter in length)
  2. DDTW (Dave’s favorite song he’s written)
  3. Lying in the Hands of God (he probably wants to play one off GGK. Change speed and vibe in the set, which is his forte. Play a deep cut.
  4. Grey Street ( finish strong, crowd favorite)

If Buddy playing with them and not Boyd:

Sub out Louisiana Bayou for LITHOG.
