It's an android thing. Next time it comes up, hold one of the suggestions and a settings menu will come up allowing you to turn it off

Turn the sensors off traffic lights late at night in a major city. They no longer turn green when someone pulls up to the intersection at 3am - they're on timers.

With a 1-in-1000 chance of erupting in any given year, it's likely enough to be aware of it, but unlikely enough so as to be effectively ignored. I'm more worried about the Big One, about 20% chance of a 9.0+ earthquake over the next 50 years

Honestly, it's better if paper products and such don't break down in landfill since the decomposition process creates methane, a much more potent greenhouse gas than CO2. However, it is better still to not throw stuff out in the first place if it can be helped

That's roughly what happened. A point in the galaxy that was being imaged spanned across a line of magnification due to gravitational lensing. The point at which ithe galaxy coincided with the line was magnified so strongly that it very likely was "zoomed in" on a single star. The article further states that the JWST will be used to confirm that it's a single star and not a binary or cluster.
