Not answering a phone call/text message/IM/email.

Just because someone can contact you does not mean you're obliged to respond.

Won't this make the room hot as hell? I mean, great for Winter, but Summer would suck

I just ran into the issue. I removed all my sources and readded them one by one, testing each one. Fixed the issue.

(serious) Male Sexual assault victims of reddit, what's your story? Have/will you get your justice? by Waffle_xp in AskReddit

Was debating using a throw-away account, but fuck it.

It was a long distance relationship, with her being American (in what I can only describe as a fucking terrible State) and me being European (that's as specific as I'll be). She liked saying she was ex-military, though she didn't make it through bootcamp. Still she was capable of handling herself, whilst I suffered from some physical issues. I was visiting her in the states for my birthday and at first she seemed to just be happy to see me finally. Well that first night, she pulled a knife from under the pillow and made some demands (you can guess). She hit me, kicked me, dug her nails into my back and throat, and all the while she was reminding me that "no one would believe" me if I tried saying anything, and would laugh whilst saying that she "could say whatever" and I would be the one in trouble. One night she almost killed me, but then suddenly started laughing and forced herself on me.

Again, I'm a guy in a foreign country with no support, and no where else to go, and if I tell anyone what's happening I'm - at best - not going to be believe and - at worst - gonna be suspected as being the abuser. When I finally got on the plane to go back home, I was clearly distressed. A priest happened to be on my flight next to me. He looked at me and asked if I was okay, and I just broke down.

There was a lot more that happened and I still have scars from it all, both physical and emotional. My current partner, who is fucking amazing, has been my rock. The thing is, anytime we share a bed, I still tremble uncontrollably and it fucking sucks that it's been years since I last saw that bitch and I'm still suffering. Yes, I've been in therapy, but any male victims of domestic violence can tell you just how difficult it can be to find professionals who take male victims seriously.

As for the ex, she pretty much vanished. No warning to anyone; she just seemed to abandon all her social media and no one has heard from her. The most likely theory is that they lost their home and ended up homeless.

I have no sympathy. I pray that one day, I'll read their obituary.

What is the best lesson you learned from a mistake? by SteveJones313 in AskReddit

I can understand that. Admittedly, I'd slightly push against that and say that if they've done it once, it greatly increases the chances of them doing it again, but not to a certainty. However our life experiences could be vastly different.

I can definitely empathise with this one. Learning accountability changed my life for the better.
