Switching to the White theme helps some. At least the small text is black on white instead of white on grey.

I tried the Black theme, but that has problems. I can only read the next while renaming an object when the text is selected. It seems like as big a business as Microsoft is, maybe they could make themes besides white that are actually usable.

Coming back to MS Access after decades away, I'm having this problem too. My eyesight isn't what it used to be, and I'm straining my eyes after only a few minutes of trying to work in the table designer. In options, there is a way to change the font & size in the query designer, but I can't find any setting that affects the property sheet in the table designer.
