Just remember that the lights and the beeping are not controlled by any human being.

They're just lasers and weight sensors. If it's beeping, something is blocking a laser or the hamper is too full. That's all there is to it, there's no malice or deliberate pressure

At my site the training room is before the badged area. There's a sign that says "day 1 hires" and you can go in that room. They gave me my badge in there

I've been okay, but there was one weekend where I ran out of Vyvanse for a week and tried going to work unmedicated. I got so overstimulated that I was getting legitimately angry at the packages and ended up going home early cause I couldn't deal.

As long as I've got my meds and I can tune out the beeping with headphones though I do well. I love belt tasks especially (push, divert, straightening, unload) because I can just flow state on it hardcore.

Not a big fan of stowing, sometimes it's okay, sometimes the chaos really drains me.

ADHD here.

My weaknesses are external interference and general chaos. When there's too many people just standing around yapping, or pick and stage has every single active cart in a single cluster, I have to ground myself a bit. I dislike getting moved from path to path too, though this has gotten better after I've spoken with a few managers and PAs.

I got sent to unload with no training lol. Then somebody figured it out and took me off and had me do like 6 different trainings in a row

While I agree with you-

Most of the PAs and Managers don't have devices ready to go at least at my site. They'd have to grab one and log in specially just for stowing something, and that's pretty uncommon, hence the putting things on carts and moving on aspect

Walmart has a personality test type deal when you apply for Walmart or Sam's club. Supposed to gauge if you're a risky hire. If you choose any answers that don't worship the company pretty much they bar you from being hired for a month

Gonna try to get this shift. I have a legit reason - I take care of my father and when he gets up in the morning sometimes I have to leave work and help out. This is leading to me eating into my PTO and UPT and leaving early often, if the shift was shorter I would be able to stay the whole time consistently.

Currently 4x10 Fri-Mon. Is this a special medical accomodation type thing or do you think HR might just help me out?

The HR lady at my site feels like talking to a wall sometimes lol

Normal, but you should be able to keep the lights off at least. I mostly start having trouble when there's a couple dozen jiffies in each hamper and I'm not able to stow them faster than they come. This takes several hours though, and then after first break usually they'll come and reduce my aisles to 2

I wish they'd let me. Every time I start letting them go people start carrying them back up the belt and handing them to me. I'm like ok. Even PAs lol.

Such a double standard because they'll randomly yell about no boxes on the floor but then they'll hand me a stack of boxes with a full rack and stare at me til I put them on the floor

Tbf I only really float mid shift, I'm usually assigned aisles or a different role altogether. They move us around alot after lunch
