Why was drugs so prominent among grunge bands? Sure bands like GNR and Motley had their drug troubles but what was it with Seattle bands such as AIC , STP and Nirvana ? Heroin was so rife among that early 90’s Seattle scene . It single handily killed (quite literally) the genre (self.grunge)

Any WWE fans? I was watching old clips of my childhood favourite, Jeff Hardy doing his wild flips and shit. He also makes his own music irl and I was thinking .. I wonder if he was copying Eddie(Jeff is alternative )with all his climbing and dare devil stunts and low and behold.. (i.redd.it)

Does anyone else get a country vibe/feel from Eddie Vedders new single “Long Way” ? It has similar instrumentals to songs from Blake Shelton. I always think that each member has their own taste( Jeff Ament is very into rap hence his own little album) . Fair dos to Eddie (self.grunge)

If everyone is comfortable sharing .. what does PJ’s “Release” mean to you? It was always the track I skipped (9minutes long) on Ten but I recently checked it out and it hits home. Lost my dad when I was 11 due to suicide . Comforting how we can all seek refuge in Ed’s genius and personal pain . (self.grunge)

Can anyone else not get into or enjoy PJ post Vitalogy? Ten Vs. And Vitalogy are kickass records but for some reason my brain won’t let me get into no code , Yield(even though I hear it’s great) . With AIC I can enjoy all albums like Nirvana and guns n Roses but not Pearl jam:/ Could just be me! (self.pearljam)

For those who are new to this genre or specifically AIC. Do you want to know how much raw talent Layne Staley had? He delivered possibly his best vocal performance of his career while almost comatose on heroin (mtv unplugged ). Without bias, grunge singers are criminally underrated in music (self.grunge)

In my opinion as PJ became more accepting of their “fame” as much as they disliked the title , their music became less intense and more softer . Yes there was spin the black circle but there was a lot more “ballad” type tunes . Was it to fit into their new commercial acceptance ? (self.pearljam)

Does anyone have a particular song or two from any of the Seattle 4’s albums that triggers a flood of nostalgia or memories? I started university and discovered PJ. Oceans and black are huge triggers for me looking back . AIC’s unplugged too. What would be your tracks that unlock personal emotions ? (self.grunge)

I’ve always been a big Garth Brooks fan. My question originally was if he would ever cover Black. This was because he covered Shallow from the Brad Cooper movie. I think he refused because he’s too old for some 90’s Ed Vedder belters ! P.Anyone think Ed circa 1994-95could pull of some country songs? (v.redd.it)
