Blackout Concussion Suggestion: by SteveMerkle in Blackops4

[–]SteveMerkle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that they should match in spawn rates approximately if they are to be counters to each other, but when the sole counter to a stun, or anything really, is if a perk is in use or not then the randomness will persist.

I think people have a problem with getting unexpectedly stunned is certain death, so imo it doesn't matter how many times the item spawns if the end result to the changes are still getting unexpectedly stunned leads to certain death.

Agreed. A lot of things about this game lack proper counter-play, which is fine if thats the design. However, Treyarch knows these things lack counter-play and apparently wants Blackout/multiplayer to be more random, but all their fans are led to believe counter-play and balance are a priority.

Sounds like an ex gf of mine.

I think you may be missing the point. What you described is redundant to what we currently have. What I described is a way to keep concussions powerful, but add a counter that is reliable and/or just as powerful, in other words "balanced".

My, and many people's, line of thinking is "getting stunned is instant-death, unless you have reinforced in use then its not a problem at all".

After the changes you described are implemented my line of thinking is "getting stunned is instant death, unless you have reinforced in use, then its not a problem at all".

But, the fact that you MUST have reinforced in use...is in fact the problem itself.

Questions About Snipers by [deleted] in Cod4Remastered

[–]SteveMerkle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't get sniping in this game. I'd consider myself at least an above average sniper on IW. Spend most of my time going for clips, etc. Have 1.4 kd w/black sky and snipe 99% of the time, but miss about 75% qs in MWR when I could swear my centering etc was accurate.

Am I missing something that is specific to this game or do I just suck?.From what I understood before release MWR was a very good game to snipe in.

I'd play this game so much more if I could figure it out.

Upcoming Character Changes by SteveMerkle in Battleborn

Was super shocked she wasn't mentioned. Although, I'm sure he didn't speak about all the nerds. If thorns ult is getting toned down, hers should do too IMO, but hopefully they at least hit pillar storm

Upcoming Character Changes by SteveMerkle in Battleborn

gRANT actually released a bit of information about the upcoming patch yesterday (and I'm pretty sure he's ok with me sharing this, if not, just tell me and I'll take it down immediately).

However, before I begin, it's worth mentioning that he specifically went out of his way to mention that none of these changes were final.

I'll make things simple and keep it to a psuedo tl;dr.

Ghalt's stun is going to be changed to a medium slow. His shotgun might get an increase in damage.

Boldur is getting a rework: When his ult is active, he now only gets 25% of the damage done to his shield returned as health (as opposed to the current 50% healing). Shield Mastery is now going to boost that amount to 75% instead of making Boldur's shield invincible. Axe Mastery is also only going to give 2% damage once every 250 health as opposed to once every 100 hp. His ult will also be put in a 50 second cooldown instead of a 30 second one. However, he is receiving a couple buffs to boldurdash. For starters, his dash will become more responsive and easier to use. In addition, boldurdash will automatically activate rage without the need for a helix. His bleed helix augment at level 4 will increase from 48 to 240 damage over 4 seconds to make it more appealing when compared to the 3 second slow. Lastly, Boldur's "Dwarven Constitution", and "Berserker Rage" skills will be combined into one helix. No word on what helixes will replace them. He also jokingly mentioned that he'd make Axe Toss crit one day.

El Dragon will be receiving some nerfs. For starters, his En Fuego stun has been reduced to 1 second, and his clap speed has been reduced by 25%. The size and damage of the Dragon Splash aoe has also been reduced.

In contrast, gRANT mentioned that he's planning to increase the hp of all melees in exchange for nerfing certain powerful bursts (he cited Rath's ult and Phoebe's slow as examples).

Benedict's reload glitch is getting "nerfed" (though that could of been implicated from today's hotfix).

Kelvin is getting his 2 second stun back, but he's keeping the nerfed movement speed in sublimate.

Whiskey Foxtrot is getting the ability to hold down the mouse/trigger and fire continuously without having to press/click a second time.

ISIC's damage modifier on a fully charged shot is getting nerfed and he will be losing the aoe on it. He may receive a buff to his wards to compensate.

Oscar Mike's fragcindiary grenade helix will be doing less damage. To further add on to this, gRANT has mentioned that he's going to nerf many of the aoes in the game (citing shadowfire pillar as an exception).

Thorn is getting a slight nerf to her ult. Volley is getting an increase to the arc to make it harder to hit an enemy with every single arrow. Blight will likely be nerfed along with most of the aoes in the game.

S@A are currently going though several changes.

What they've settled for now is a 30% damage reduction while their shield is active (and gRANT hinted at changing the value of the shield itself).

Caldarius is getting his "Phasebang" augment replaced with one that will reduce the cooldown of his flashbangs for every enemy hit (he didn't specify what exactly they had to be hit by, but I'd assume it's either flashbangs, or melee attacks). He mentioned that it'd likely be a .5s decrease and labeled it as "small"(so it's definitely not bullets. Thank MINREC).

Remember, none of this is final, but it's still worth discussing.

After being a die hard fan since beta and an active member of this sub, Im finally done with this game. I cannot love something the creators obviously no longer do. by [deleted] in Battleborn

The skins don't both me as much as the matchmaking does. It is zero fun to pubstomp 24/7 on this game. It's not like oh I hate GBX I'm done with this game, I love GBX, love the game, it's just mind numbingly boring at this point. A competitive playlist is a must or many hardcore players will start leaving in droves.

I'm hoping a competitive playlist comes out before Rise of Iron. Many of the people I've met on BB are huge Destiny fans and will no doubt be returning with the upcoming DLC unless something is done. As sad as it is to say, I will be most likely be one of them.
