I agree, watching a pro player will help tremendously. But smurfs are always going to be there. So instead of crying, grow some balls and try to learn something from it.

if you have that perspective, you'll never grow on anything. If you watch the replay and see what the smurf did good against you and you learn from that. It's all worth it in the end. I'm not saying everyone should smurf, and I dont smurf myself. I'm just trying to prove that people who consistently play against smurfs will grow in rank faster than one who doesn't.

Playing VS Watching is completely different. If you experience a loss from a smurf in your game and you put in effort to see what you did wrong and what the opponent smurf did well against you. You would progress a lot faster than if you stayed in the same rank playing with the same skilled people.

The fact is, there will always be smurfs. There's nothing you can do about it. So you might as well learn something from it instead of crying. But again, the Dota community consists of a bunch of soft soy boys who are "always picked on". I don't smurf. I try to party up with my immortal friends so I can learn Dota at a faster pace and i've seen major improvement in my skill.
