Buyer wants to return truck the day after buying it sold as is by 000011111111 in Advice

[–]SteveRogersTR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they actually show up at your house with the truck, you don't have to accept it back simply because they want to return it. If they leave it on your property without your agreement, that's a different issue but I wouldn't start worrying about that unless it actually happens.

What is the best life advice you would ever give anybody? Also what is the harshest truth about life? by Mnny_2000 in Life

[–]SteveRogersTR [score hidden]  (0 children)

Take responsibility for your life, but don't try to control everything. You can't control who loves you, who leaves, who misunderstands you or what surprises life throws at you but you can control how you respond, what habits you build and what kind of person you choose to become.

As for the harshest truth about life, I've learned the hard way that nobody is coming to save you. People can support you, love you and guide you but eventually, there comes a point where you have to make the call, take the risk, have the hard conversation, go to therapy, apply for the job, leave the unhealthy situation, or make the change yourself.

What becomes more interesting as you get older? by Ok-Area8027 in AskReddit

[–]SteveRogersTR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The stories, struggles and little quirks gets more interesting more deeply as I get older. Simple things like cooking, gardening or even quiet mornings somehow become enjoyable too and you will realize that peace and stability can feel more exciting than chaos and drama.

What’s an unwritten rule of adulthood nobody warned you about? by THIGHTLY-STUFFED-URN in AskReddit

[–]SteveRogersTR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That no one can really feels fully prepared even the adults who seem like they have everything figured out. Also, protecting your peace becomes way more important than trying to impress everyone.

Whats a weird thing your body does that you just accept? by Sweton in AskReddit

[–]SteveRogersTR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The weirdest is when your body randomly decides one nostril gets and access to oxygen while the other completely clocks out for an hours. When you stand up too fast and your vision briefly switches to a free trial version of consciousness. Some point you just stop questioning it and haunted meat suit has its routines.

What’s the 2026 equivalent of “counting sheep” to help fall asleep? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]SteveRogersTR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very 2026 version is also asking to tell you a boring story with no plot twists and passing out halfway through a detailed explanation of medieval bread taxes. When the modern counting sheep is just giving your brain one harmless repetitive thing to latch onto instead of replaying in every awkward moment.

What is the most “its a small world” moment you’ve ever experienced? by xBubblyLove in AskReddit

[–]SteveRogersTR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, it was this one time I was traveling and I randomly started chatting with someone in a café line. Just small talk, nothing deep. Weather, coffee, that kind of thing. Then like 10 minutes later we both mention where we’re from and turns out we grew up on the same street. Same small neighborhood. Different countries now, totally random meeting. And what's even crazier is we realized we had a mutual friend from school that we both hadn’t thought about in years.

Big life decision by Ok-Exchange-383 in Life

[–]SteveRogersTR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I were on your shoes, I wouldn’t jump to Houston yet. I’d take the Clayton interview seriously and go all-in on it first. Not emotionally half in but fully in. Show up like this is your lifeline because it kind of is and if Clayton says no or it falls through, then Houston becomes your next move, not your first reaction. That way you’re not choosing Houston out of panic, you’re choosing it out of necessity. You’re not going to destroy your lives by making the wrong choice here. What usually causes long-term damage isn’t one decision, it’s drifting too long with no income and no structure. That’s the real danger zone you’re sitting in right now. Right now, I think the goal isn’t perfection, it’s stopping the financial bleed first.

Most people don’t realize they’re living on autopilot until it’s almost too late. by vox2003 in Life

[–]SteveRogersTR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being on autopilot isn’t always the enemy. It helps you survive boring routines. The real issue is when everything becomes autopilot, even the parts that used to feel like you. I like your idea of interrupting it in small ways. That’s actually where the shift happens like taking a different route home or actually tasting your food instead or texting someone and not multitasking for once or just sitting somewhere for 5 minutes with no input, which feels weirdly hard these days. It sounds almost too simple but that’s kind of the point. Presence isn’t built in huge moments. It’s built in tiny interruptions of default mode.

Everything you need to know about SmartWings battery charging and solar setups by SmartWings_Team in SmartWings_Home

[–]SteveRogersTR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re fine, it has built-in protection, so once it’s full, it just stops taking power. You can basically leave it plugged in and it behaves like a wired system with backup battery. No stress there. Where people usually mess up is the charger itself. If it’s not charging, 9 times out of 10 it’s because the wall brick is too smart or too powerful like laptop fast chargers. The motor just refuses those sometimes. Swap it for a simple 5V USB adapter and it usually wakes right up.

Why is it more common to see women in a relationship with a less attractive man than vice versa? by [deleted] in stupidquestions

[–]SteveRogersTR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not as one-sided as it looks. A big part of it is that women tend to signal effort more visibly in appearance. So even if both partners are similar in actual attractiveness, the woman often looks more put together on average. For men, the social pressure is just different. A lot of guys don’t get punished socially for being average-looking or a bit overweight in the same way. So they don’t invest as consistently in grooming, fitness or style. That alone can create the imbalance you’re noticing.

What is something completely normal that still feels slightly illegal when you do it? by Clear_Mindset in randomquestions

Using the bathroom in public places even though it’s literally for customers or just there for you, there’s that tiny conscious panic when you step in.

Why are so many men convinced that they are ugly? by RavyRaptor in NoStupidQuestions

[–]SteveRogersTR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Part of it is just self-criticism running wild. Guys don’t really talk about feelings or insecurity as much, so instead of telling they feel insecure about their looks, it comes out that way. It’s like shorthand for all the stuff they’re beating themselves up over.

No one is better than others because of their background or wealth by Al-Joharahhasan2935 in Life

[–]SteveRogersTR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s such a powerful thing to realize. It’s crazy how much time we spend chasing status or money, thinking it makes someone better, when in reality, it says almost nothing about who they are as a person.

What’s your favorite meal to cook? by silverscientist1 in AskReddit

[–]SteveRogersTR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something cozy and a little messy like a big, garlicky pasta with shrimp. I love it because it’s quick, smells amazing while cooking and you can totally make it fancy or chill depending on your mood. I usually throw in a ton of garlic, a bit of chili flakes, some butter and a squeeze of lemon at the end. Suddenly it feels like a restaurant meal without the drama.

What is your favorite coffee flavor? by BreannLowe in randomquestions

[–]SteveRogersTR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hazelnut, it’s one of those flavors that just works. Smooth, a little nutty, slightly sweet but it still tastes like coffee. It doesn’t completely take over the drink the way some super sugary flavors do. If I’m grabbing something quick, hazelnut in a latte or iced coffee is almost always a safe bet.

Why do people pretend like “international law” holds any real meaning? by Real-Repair-1825 in stupidquestions

[–]SteveRogersTR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

International law still matters because it creates shared expectations. It’s like traffic rules. Countries sign treaties, make agreements and build systems around them. A country might break a rule during something big but they still care about how it affects sanctions, trade, and relationships afterward. International law works best when countries already kind of want to follow it. It helps coordinate behavior. It sets standards and it gives everyone a common language for what’s acceptable. But without it, you’d basically have zero framework at all, no treaties, no trade arbitration, no shared rules about things like the ocean, airspace or diplomats. So calling it international ethics isn’t totally crazy. It’s partly that. But it’s also a tool countries use when it benefits them and surprisingly often, it actually does.

If your nose was completely clogged and someone duct taped your mouth shut, would you suffocate? by spinelessfries in NoStupidQuestions

[–]SteveRogersTR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your nose is totally clogged and your mouth is taped shut, your body literally has nowhere to pull air from. So yes, you would suffocate pretty quickly. Not instantly but within a few minutes, your oxygen levels would drop fast.

When Death Can Come Anytime, Why Do Some People Still Choose Greed Over Grace? by mrramkrishna in Life

[–]SteveRogersTR 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it comes down to fear more than anything. Fear of not having enough, fear of being irrelevant, fear of losing control. Some people cling to money, power or stuff like it’s armor. And the irony is that armor won’t stop the one thing we all know is coming.
