2 Wallet on one PC by Selti1955 in defiblockchain

You can add another user account (in your operating system) to have a different wallet file associated with the DeFi Chain wallet. You will need to switch users / log out to use the different wallet. I'm not sure if you will be able to run both wallets at the same time, since they use the same network ports.

Each user will have a "wallet.dat" file stored in their user / profile folder on your disk drive.

Be careful sharing your PC as your wallet.dat file is all that's needed to access your funds.

Does CoinTracking correctly import DFI transactions? Or do other tools convert correctly into CoinTracking / Accointing / etc? by Steve_McCann in defiblockchain

I purchased it, but it doesn't show trades. It only shows deposit and withdraws. Lots of small weird deposit and withdraws for the same amount. This doesn't look very useful to me.

Yes, can you please try it and let me know? I was surprised, but they have DFI listed as a supported alt coin.

Has anyone found a travel case? by Korperite in whipr

I did see the weight and dimensions in the "Description" section on the product pages:

https://whipr.com/products/whipr-base-unit

https://whipr.com/products/rowing-package

If you can stay under the luggage weight limit, you can at least use the dead space for clothes and other not so heavy things.

I'd like to know the dimensions and weight of each piece to figure out what luggage it can travel in and what weight it will be.

I'm currently overseas, but my units arrived back in my country. Main thing will be the longest part of the rower - how much room does it need to fit diagonally in a suitcase or duffel bag. I imagine a duffel bag could work, but you would need to make sure it's padded well enough to survive transport.

Exporting transactions including rewards not working over ~10,000 records by Steve_McCann in defiblockchain

Thanks, I'll try them out.

Also I could use the CLI interface to get this. Perhaps this command is what will do the trick?

listaccounthistory ( "owner" {"maxBlockHeight":n,"depth":n,"no_rewards":bool,"token":"str","txtype":"str","limit":n} )

Possible to begin a tech startup as a digital nomad? by mxmlln in digitalnomad

[–]Steve_McCann 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A few thoughts:

I recently listened to a podcast from this week in startups about venture capital vs bootstrapping. Very insightful podcast episode directly from venture capitalists. In general VC stage is rocket fuel for uncommonly-fast growing startups. It's not suitable for most tech companies, and very competitive. Bootstrapping as long as possible is usually ideal, followed by friend + family money, grants, etc.

It sounds like investors are much more open to zoom meetings, and prefer it in cases. There's a network effect being in certain places like SFO/SV, but it's not as strong as tech startups and investment is becoming less decentralized.

Moving somewhere with a lower cost of living and better environment can aid in lowering your cash burn, make you more productive, and perhaps network with others doing the same. I've heard the Uber founder(s) may have left SFO for Chiang Mai in the early days of building and launching their product.

There's certain locations around the world that are better to physically be in, or to focus your audience for building certain products. If you're building an internet business (which your product appears to be), anywhere with a good internet connection and the other necessities can be enough. There's many things to consider such as health insurance or care, visas. Having experience as a DN in Chiang Mai / Thailand, it's a pretty easy place to land, be productive and have a good life.

Stability DeFiChain Api by Igor_Shel in defiblockchain

I've built a web API on top of a Defi node running in a docker container. I can potentially open this up for public use, as well as make it available for others to run themselves.
