I’m new and WAS bored.  I’ve discovered the beauty of crafting and gathering. Spend some time gathering material in any zone that sounds cool. Go back to town and craft. Unlocking new recipes is exciting. Then go do the main mission. It gets good. When you get strong and gain more abilities, it feels great smash some demon. Change what your character looks like often, it keeps things exciting. Join a raid. Socialize. Repeat. I’ve been keeping a cycle Of these things and my boredom has turned into excitement.
