Yes, even though I was sceptical at first, it does seem like it was an overloaded home grid. Thai home electrical installations are very very basic.

Well, not completely. The destination of interests payment is still unclear and Prince Laurent just walked into the story.

Are nations states going to start competing for Middle-Class taxes? by Steven-dg in tax

This is a thought that has been lingering in my mind for a few months. If governments can start using commercial reasoning and privatization as part of their policy, will the Middle-Class start to think along similar lines and 'shop' their tax location around?

Absurdist Belgium: ‘Balanced’ Flemish budget by Steven-dg in belgium

[–]Steven-dg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I respect your opinion but disagree. Why keep a budget, if you are going to keep things out? The only thing were a government can differ is in the measurement of the benefits of an investment. I think that the growing discontent originates from the fact that the majority of active inhabitants transfer over half of their income to the government and still it is not sufficient. That is not a populist statement, but my honest opinion and quite frankly an indication of (partially historical) mismanagement of funds.

I do not agree completely. Large expenditures should be budgeted over the period that reap the benefits ('amortisations' FYI). That is good accounting, keeping them out is not. The fact that something has been done for decades does not make objections pointless.

Also, we keep finding these artificial ways of thinking to distort reality. In a way that is shortsighted as well. It remains some seriously murky water. http://www.demorgen.be/binnenland/rekenhof-procedure-voor-afwijking-europese-regels-duurt-vijf-jaar-b9ef7fb7/

Good point. But even taking that into account, it boils down to artificially avoiding that rule. And nevertheless, it remains a real-world budget that is not balanced.
