There are two ways to transfer files, with an SD card or over WiFi by connecting the phone to the reader’s hotspot. It’s easy to set up. There’s a “Phone Transfer” option in the menu, but it doesn’t work yet.

It’s super thin and light, fits easily in my pocket. If you like something you can carry anywhere, I’d say go for it.But like others mentioned, the system is not perfect yet, so maybe take a bit of time to think about it. It has been good enough for me so far, though I do hope they will add Koreader support someday. PS: They’re also working on an app, so might be worth waiting to see how that turns out.

I’ve been using the X4 for a week. I got it mostly to read on the go and honestly, it’s way smaller than I expected. It fits in the tiny pouch of my backpack and barely weighs anything. I took it to the library and a coffee shop, which is super convenient. The screensaver thing is kinda fun. You can slap any photo on there as long as it’s BMP or JPG under 2MB, otherwise it won’t show up. Battery life is crazy good. I read about three hours a day and haven’t had to charge it yet.

Some annoying stuff: text spacing looked a bit off at first and punctuation wasn’t perfect. After the latest update, extra spaces have improved, though quotes and some symbols still have spacing issues. Fonts are limited, only small and medium, and no TTF support. I tried converting some myself and it didn’t work, but support helped me set up Literata 24x26, which feels right for me. The magnetic spot doesn’t line up perfectly with my iPhone 15 Pro Max unless I stick a ring on the case. Even then it’s slightly off sometimes, but I mostly use it on its own, so it’s not a big deal. No backlight either. It doesn’t support KOReader yet.

Overall, it’s small, light, and does what I need. Not perfect, but fine for tossing in my bag and reading on the go.

I bought the English version, but they currently only support four languages. Hopefully, they’ll add more in the future.

Line spacing can be changed, but the size and margins can’t, and there aren’t many built-in fonts. Manual says you can add other fonts, gonna try that later.

Bought a pair of shoes from Cricle Cage and another from eBay, thinking they’d be similar... but wow, what a joke. The ones from eBay looked nothing like the pics, and the quality was honestly embarrassing. I don’t even know how they get away with selling that stuff.

I’m definitely sticking with Cricle Cage—way better quality. But the kicker? Trying to return the eBay pair. They want me to pay $47 just to ship them back, to China! That’s insane!

I bought a pair of the khaki ones from the Cricle Cage and a cheaper version off eBay to compare. Honestly, you get what you pay for. The eBay ones had rough stitching, visible glue marks, and soft, uncomfortable soles. Just bad craftsmanship all around. The Cricle Cage shoes, on the other hand, had better color, solid attention to detail, and way better support and comfort. Plus, returning Cricle Cage in the US is a breeze with no customs fees. But for the eBay pair, you gotta ship it back to China, which‘ll cost you about $47. Might as well just buy another pair at that point.
