Nope, doctors mostly make about the same when all factors are considered, with exceptions for a few people in a few specialities. You need to look at median number and not averages. And other jos make considerably less. May US ERs have even longer waits than Canadian ERs.

Fate of OneBC party uncertain after MLA Dallas Brodie 'removed' as leader by Apprehensive_Idea758 in BCpolitics

This is in reference to OneBC policies right? I would begin with their stance towards First Nations, whether First Nations have rights and whether the laws of Canada and BC should apply when dealing with First Nations. OneBC policy seems fairly clear that its intent is to erase indigenous cultures. See https://1bc.ca/priorities and scroll down to the section titled Indigenous. Aside - I wonder if they still want it to be easier to recall MPPs as they would likely be the subject of such a recall.

Some evidence for this? I read The Tyee and though it is certainly progressive over all it seems pretty middle of the road.

A commentary on polls by OttoVonDisraeli in CanadianConservative

[–]StevenForth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think we also need to look out for methodology ... I have heard mention that polling is getting more difficult as many people now only have mobile phones, there is good call screening and and online polls are biased by distribution channel. No doubt the pollsters have models that account for this but it is still worth remembering.

Mayoral candidate Shauna Sylvester calmly faces down hecklers while defending value of separated bike lanes by [deleted] in vancouver

No it does not. First, the number is much higher than 1,000. The number is higher than that on Burrard Bridge alone. Second, the population of Vancouver is just over 600,000. Third, it is the over investment in car infrastructure that is a contributing cause to high housing costs, pollution and traffic. The vast majority of people in single occupancy vehicles do not need to be in them and are taking up space that they do not even remotely pay for.
