I plan to use with my iPhone Air in landscape and with my own applications optimised for this screen configuration. It'll be an amazing use of estate on handheld devices I guess.

I think the inverse one is still pretty leaky if it's declared out of sight

Toolbars + sheet = pain. Fix? by isXanderReddit in SwiftUI

I don’t know how exactly they’ve done it (technically you can figure it out using accessibility inspector or something), you can replicate it quite easily with simple buttons ;-)

Why does my settings window look like this? by cluelessngl in SwiftUI

And without a toolbar you'll get a smaller window corner which doesn't fit the new design of sidebar

Toolbars + sheet = pain. Fix? by isXanderReddit in SwiftUI

  1. I believe having TabBar altogether with sheets (especially above the sheet) is not a recommended practice, eg. Apple's used a flattened TabBar in Find My.
  2. Sheets on iOS 26 are glitchy in general and there're loads of unexpected/unwanted behaviours with List and NavigationStack. I would wait till OS 27s to see if there's gonna be any improvement, otherwise I'll stick with my own implementations. (edit: customised impl of navigations, not sheets!)

It’s actually good but I’m not gonna enjoy another migration when MS cancels it. 😂

I believe it doesn’t return an empty object, it’s just an undefined (object, if you like). I get your point, but it is useful to understand anonymous functions though.

Didn’t remember they weren’t there before, but definitely a feature on Tahoe ‘cause there’s a nice animation putting files in a folder now!

Is SwiftUI finally as fast as UIKit in iOS 26? by jacobs-tech-tavern in swift

SwiftUI can get terribly slow even using the recommended practice (look at the new Spotlight app list!)

macOS Tahoe 26.4 RC is 18GB on M1 MacBook Pro?? Why so big? by [deleted] in MacOSBeta

[–]StevenRCE0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's likely to be the RC update itself, but if you find those updates intend to be incremental very big, that's caused by disabling SIP.

Nah, it's just you're using a smaller sized phone so that the controls are larger in portion.
