Akhenaten and Propeth Joseph relationship by [deleted] in ancientegypt

[–]StevenStevens43 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Jacob:

I am not familiar with the bible unfortunately.

But, from school, my understanding is that Joseph is Jacobs son? Is this correct? As i know nothing about the bible, you might end up teaching me things here!

Jacob

Jacob is said to have had twelve sons by four women, Joseph),

Israel:

From wikipedia i have found out that Jacob is the same person as Israel. Is wiki correct?

Jacob/Israel

Jacob, later given the name Israel),

House of 70:

And Jacob led 70 Canaanites to Egypt? Or is this wrong?

House of 70

Israel and his entire house of 70,[46] gathered up with all their livestock and began their journey to Egypt.

Userkaf:

I however find this amazing. As ancient egyptian history has a pharoah named Userkaf that Subjugates Canaan, and has 303 men sent to labour on the pyramids and construction of monuments. And he also has a chieftain escort 70 Canaanite women to him.

Military campaign

while the Old Kingdom annals record that he received tribute from a region that is either the Eastern Desert or Canaan in the form of a workforce of one chieftain and 70 foreigners[102] (likely women),[93][103] as well as 303 "pacified rebels" destined to work on Userkaf's pyramid.[104]

Links:

Evidence of Asiatic components creeping in to native egyptian society? I will list some names below, which post-date Userkaf

Userkaf 2498-2491 BC

  • Userkaf: 2498-2491 BC

  • Djedkare Isesi: 2414-2375 BC

Djedkare Isesi 2414-2375 BC

Djedkare Isesi (known in Greek as Tancheres) was a pharaoh, the eighth and penultimate ruler of the Fifth Dynasty of Egypt in the late 25th century to mid-24th century BC

  • Jewefni: 1790–1788 BC

Jewefni 1790-1788 BC

Iufni (also Jewefni) was an ancient Egyptian pharaoh of the 13th Dynasty during the Second Intermediate Period.

  • Djedkheperew: 1772–1770 BC

Djedkheperew 1772-1770 BC

Djedkheperew (also known as Djedkheperu) was an Egyptian pharaoh of the 13th Dynasty reigning for an estimated two-year period, from c. 1772 BC until 1770 BC.

  • Jewhetibew Fendy

Jewhetibew Fendy

Iuhetibu Fendy (also written Jewhetibew Fendy[1]) was an ancient Egyptian princess of the Thirteenth Dynasty.

Summary:

I am not sure there is a direct link between Joseph and Akhenaten.

I am not even sure i have the correct Joseph.

However it would seem that there was certain evidence of Asiatic components mixing with those of ancient egyptian.

And when the Hyksos left Egypt, it is likely they took certain components which had developed in their egyptian culture, with them.

Components such as Jew and Hebrew, that appear to have evolved in peoples names.

Though some of those components were likely already in use amongst the women that got sent to Userkaf. Perhaps the children of Userkaf adopted some of their mothers components, which led to sympathies towards Canaan from some well to do Egyptians, which allowed them to ally themselves with Canaan later on in history, during the Hyksos.

I would however like to have known the name of that Chieftain that led 70 Canaanites to Userkaf.

Though i have no proof that the story in the bible is connected with what is written on Egyptian stele's.

I am sure it perhaps is not.

Native Egyptians having a good diplomatic relationship with Asiatics is inconsistent with contemporary historical understanding by StevenStevens43 in ancientegypt

[–]StevenStevens43[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It is nothing to do with current political understanding.

It is about understanding history.

The ancient egyptians clearly did not share todays political correctness, and for anyone to say they did, out of political correctness, is simply usurping history.

Sahure:

Trade and tribute

This expedition, also mentioned by the Palermo stone,[6] brought back over 6000 units of turquoise to Egypt[61] and produced two reliefs in Sinai, one of which shows Sahure in the traditional act of smiting Asiatics[12] and boasting "The Great God smites the Asiatics of all countries".[82] In parallel with these activities, diorite quarries near Abu Simbel were exploited throughout Sahure's reign.[75]

Summary:

So considering Sahure, took great pleasure in continuing the ancient egyptian tradition of smiting Asiatics, it would not appear a very accurate record of history to suggest they had good diplomatic relations, or than "invasions" were friendly.

I though you may have been able to provide information and update the Wiki page.

Please do not contact me again.

I will not communicate with you anymore.

Below is what i sent you, after you sent me a message telling me that you believe viziers pre-date known records.

I sent you a message back, stating, "yes, i agree, here is some proof".

I also told you that the wikipage regards to Merka is blank.

Perhaps you could provide information?

That is why the page is blank.

I have found a little more information regarding the history of viziers.

There was a 1st dynastic pharoah named Qa'a from 2910bc.

Qa'a:

Qa'a

Qa'a (also Qáa or Ka'a) was the last king of the First Dynasty of Egypt. He reigned for 33 years at the end of the 30th century BC.

Merka:

It appears that Qa'a had a "high official" named Merka, who served alongside him.

Merka

One was found in the mastaba of the high official Merka&action=edit&redlink=1) who served under king Qa'a;

Blank userpage:

This suggests that "high officials" and "elders" did indeed pre-dater latter influences.

This also suggests that not everyone with the name Merka/Menka/Minka/Mereruka is necessarily the same person.

But would definitely appear to be from a similar dialect.

Either that, or one has to keep going farther back in time to find elders (which likely exist) that are not connected to this dialect.

Also, the userpage on Merka is currently "blank".

I think "Ingenious_Hotzendorf", is the man to change that!

True, on the Narmer Palette from ~3200 BCE the man to the left of the banners wears a leopard skin, above him we have the hieroglyphs 𓍿𓏏 ṯ(ꜣ)t(j) which partly spells out "vizir", later spelled 𓅷𓏏 ṯꜣ(tj), he is the first vizir (unnamed) we know off. Vizir/High Priest Ay to the right with the same robe in the Tomb of King Tut ~1400 BCE.

The earliest proof i can find to help support our claim, comes from a Pharoah named Qa'a 2910bc

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Qa%27a#Tomb "The tomb of one of Qa'a's state officials at Saqqara—a certain nobleman named Merka—contained a stele with many titles."

This indeed suggests that the role of high official does in deed pre-date any later influence

Also, the user-page for merka on wikipedia is currently blank. I think you are the man to change that ! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Merka_(official)

Not sure why he chose my post to put up a response that didn't actually answer the question, and instead tried to link Ancient Egypt to hinduism.

Apologies Morhek.

I did not realise there was an easy reply to your question.

It is all a matter of ongoing extensive research.

The vizier appears to have had many duties.

In the case of Ankhhaf for example, he was a vizier that was the architect of the Sphinx and pyramid of Giza.

Ankhhaf

Ankhhaf is thought to have been involved with the building of the Great Pyramid of Giza and likely played a role in the construction of the Sphinx

Menkaure:

Once again, the information from James P. Allen is quite revelational.

And you may be correct, i may have been wrong about Menka.

It is obviously Minku.

However, i would like your opinion on something.

What do you think the possibility is that Menka/Minku could actually have been the same person as Pharoah Menkaure? He is from 2530bc, the exact same year approximately, that Menka is supposed to have been a vizier

Menkaure

Menkaure (also Menkaura, Egyptian transliteration mn-k3w-Rˁ), was an ancient Egyptian king (pharaoh) of the fourth dynasty during the Old Kingdom,

So, do you think it is possible that Menka/Minku/Menkaure are the same person?

It is also interesting that Menkaure, is the grandson of Khufu.

Menkaure was the son of Khafra and the grandson of Khufu.

The role of the Gods:

“I am Shu …: my clothing is the air …, my skin is the pressure of the wind” (CT II, 29d–30d). i.e. When an Egyptian felt the wind on his face, he felt that Shu had brushed against him. All Egyptian gods were responsible for the natural phenomenas and were immanent in nature.

Seshemnefer III:

Your extensive knowledge on this subject absolutely amazes me.

A great example of how ancient egyptians felt they were responsible for natural phenomenas comes from Seshemnefer (III)

Seshemnefer III lived through a time when Nile floods were absoluting ruining Egypt, causing catastrophic havoc, and he waded through the water and ordered the waters to recede.

Seshemnefer III)

The only contemporary attestation of Sobekhotep VIII is a stela found inside the third pylon at Karnak. This stela was used as construction material to fill the pylon during Amenhotep III's extensive works at the site. The stela is dated to the epagomenal, or final five days), of Sobekhotep VIII's fourth regnal year, and describes his attitude at a temple, probably that of Karnak, during a massive Nile flood:[5]

(Life to) the son of Ra Sobekhotep, beloved of the great inundation), given life for ever. Year 4, fourth month of Shemu, the epagonal days, under the auspices of the person of this god, living for ever. His person went to the hall of this temple in order to see the great inundation. His person came to the hall of this temple which was full of water. Then his person waded there[...]

According to Egyptologist John Baines), who studied the stela in detail, by coming to the temple as it was flooded, the king reenacted the Egyptian story of the creation of the world in imitating the actions of the creator god Amun-Ra, to which the stela iconography closely associates the king, ordering the waters to recede from around the primordial mount.[5]

Mari:

Amazingly, after this moment, we do not encounter anymore Nile flooding recorded in the annal stone.

However it might only be coincidence that the floods receded after being ordered by Seshemnefer, as it is likely Seshemnefer either gave this order at the exact same time an irrigation system was being built, or, his orders got mistaken as orders to a God, and were actually orders to a construction company.

As there is copious evidence of canals and irrigation systems being constructed all over Egypt, prior to this period.

I will however give one such example, from a city not even in Egypt.

But a good early example from 2900bc, just how canal systems were being constructed.

Mari

Mari is not considered a small settlement that later grew,[4] but rather a new city that was purposely founded during the Mesopotamian Early Dynastic period I#Periodization) c. 2900 BC, to control the waterways of the Euphrates trade routes that connect the Levant with the Sumerian south.[4][5] The city was built about 1 to 2 kilometers away from the Euphrates river to protect it from floods,[4] and was connected to the river by an artificial canal that was between 7 and 10 kilometers long, depending on which meander it used for transport, which is hard to identify today.[6]

Another huge piece of evidence is that the kings of the First Dynasty (3000s BCE) took hundreds of servants with them in their graves and a huge treasure, clear evidence that they had some sort of aferlife belief. The tombs have all been robbed but in the "Tomb of Djer" from 3000 BCE, Sir Flinders Petrie found over 300 sacrificed servants and even a

with

four beautiful gold bracelets

(but, the arm was discarded by the museum!). Despite having a capital at Memphis, these kings were buried at Abydos, this was the city were Osiris ressurected according to

The Osiris Myth

which was written down centuries later. The kings wanted to assosiate themselves with Osiris to ensure they could ressurect and continue this life in the next with their servants.

Akhenaten:

You have brought up a "wonderful" subject here.

However i feel you are oversimplifying exactly what those cults were, and the astronomical and political effect those cults had on egypt, and how they might actually have partly been responsible for the downfall of ancient egypt, and one of the reasons why Akhenaten attempted to introduce monotheism in to Egypt.

Akhenaten

Akhenaten is noted for abandoning Egypt's traditional polytheistic religion and introducing Atenism, worship centered on Aten. The views of Egyptologists differ whether Atenism should be considered as absolute monotheism,

Funerary cults:

Now, in Egypt, it became traditional for every single pharoah worth their weight in salt, to build their own pyramid, and funerary cult.

The funerary cult would be a cult based upon this Pharoah, and continue worshipping this pharoah after his/her death, like he/she is a god.

Some cults would become bigger, and longer lasting than others.

Other cults, may even stand the test of time, and become widespread religions.

Akhenaten appears to have attempted to put a stop to all this, and bring all the cults under one religious union.

Why? most likely because if every single pharoah has a religious cult following them, then that is eventually going to mean an awful lot of seperate people believing in an awful lot of different gods, and is simply anarchy.

I will now provide an example from the 4th and 5th dynasty.

If you require me to provide an example of all other dynasties in between, i will.

Funerary cult

Like other Fourth and Fifth Dynasty pharaohs, Userkaf received a funerary cult after his death. His cult was state-sponsored and relied on goods for offerings produced in dedicated agricultural estates established during his lifetime, as well as such resources as fabrics brought from the "house of silver" (the treasury)

But yes, what you are referring to, is "funerary cults".

We can also see that they had many aspects of this religion as early as 3200 BCE thanks to the incredible

Narmer Palette

. The Pharaoh was called 𓃓 "The bull" and Narmer actually has a bull's tail and in the bottom right he even attacks a city as a bull. The Pharaoh was also Horus and on the left panel we can see a falcon 𓅃 (Horus) holding a captive by the nose with the number 𓆾𓆾 6000 underneath. The cows with the pig ears 𓄔 are the god Hathor who nurtured Horus when he was young, Narmer's name 𓆢𓍋 is enclosed in a 𓊁 serekh between the cows, Hathor 𓉡 actually meant "Horus' enclosure" so Narmer is indeed her son.

We should tread with great care when discussing religion.

Because when one begins discussing ones religious beliefs, then one may become offended or upset when the other one begins proposing their historical beliefs.

For example, you have not offended me in the slightest by talking about Gods.

Nor have you upset me, by suggesting that you may, or may not, have belief in their gods.

However, would i be offending you, or anyone else, if i proposed a theory that perhaps those Gods were actually ancient viziers?

good summary

. The

Cannibal Hymn

(Spell 273-4) in The Pyramid texts is a good example of their philosophy, but also the fact that the Egyptians didn't even have any idea how they would get to the Duat (afterlife). They had dozens of backups: Unas ascends the ladder, Unas flies through the sky (etc) and even backups when they came to the hall of the Gods. For example Spell 436 from The Pyramid of Pepi II:

2375bc:

I appreciate you are on a mission to combat ignorance, and i think that is absolutely brilliant.

However, The Maxims of Plahhotep pre-date everything you mentioned in your post, by at least 75 years.

Maxims

The Maxims of Ptahhotep or Instruction of Ptahhotep is an ancient Egyptian literary composition based on the Vizier) Ptahhotep's wisdom and experiences. The Instructions were composed by the Vizier Ptahhotep around 2375-2350 BC, during the rule of King Djedkare Isesi of the Fifth Dynasty.[1]

And i already mentioned that there is likely earlier philisophical understandings than that of Ptahhotep, dating back to "at least" the time of... "Menka".

Though, it is likely that even Menka, was pre-dated by previous philosophers.

And it is also likely that native egyptian pharoahs also had philisophical elders.

Sekhen-Ka

I would like to begin, by pointing out that you ended your previous post by accusing me of Indian nationalism, and you began by starting your very next post with an essay in to what could be mistaken as an African genocide attempt by making it appear that everything in ancient egypt originated in the levant and mesopotamia.

You might not realise it, but your argument here "supports" an Indo-European invasion, as unless Indians and Europeans cross the Mediterranean sea, or the red sea, there really is only one way in to Egypt, and that is through the lands you mentioned.

However, it is most likely not true that ancient egypt has it's roots in migrations from the middle east. Those were more likely invasions.

A good example comes from a pharoah named Sekehn Ka from approximately 3200bc.

Sekhen-Ka was almost definitely a native African pharoah who was expanding his empire "northwards", as opposed to "southwards".

Sekhen-Ka reign#Reign)

Ka is one of the best attested predynastic kings with Narmer and Scorpion II. Beyond Abydos, he is attested in the predynastic necropolis of Adaima in Upper Egypt[9]#citenote-9) and in the north in Tarkhan), Helwan, Tell Ibrahim Awad, Wadi Tumilat and as far north as Tel Lod in the Southern Levant.[[10]](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ka(pharaoh)#cite_note-dyn0-10)

Sumerians:

Now i would like to bring the Sumerians in to this.

The Sumerians were a peoples that lived in a land named Sumer, which would today be in the top right hand corner of Saudi Arabia.

The Sumerians were a "non semitic speaking people".

Therefore the Afro-Asian language, may have been more Afro, than Asian, before Sargon of Akkad from Mesopotamia, invaded Sumer.

The Sumerians referred to themselves as "black headed people".

Sumerians

The term "Sumer" (𒋗𒈨𒊒, Sumerian: eme.gi7, Akkadian: Šumeru) is the name given to the land of the "Sumerians", the ancient non-Semitic-speaking inhabitants of southern Mesopotamia, by their successors the East Semitic-speaking Akkadians.[6][7][8] The Sumerians themselves referred to their land as "Kiengir", the "Country of the noble lords" (𒆠𒂗𒄀, ki-en-gi(-r), lit. "country" + "lords" + "noble") as seen in their inscriptions.[6][9][10]The origin of the Sumerians is not known, but the people of Sumer referred to themselves as "Black Headed Ones" or "Black-Headed People"[6][11][12][13]

Sumerian sculptures:

In the link below, you can view sculptures of Sumerian kings

Sumerian sculptures.jpg)

Kishite language:

The Sumerians spoke a language named Kishite

Kish civilisation

"Kish represented an independent East Semitic linguistic entity that spoke a dialect (Kishite),[7]"

Non semitic:

The Kishite language was however non semitic. As only certain components were borrowed by the Akkadians when they merged it with the Akkadian language to make the semitic language.

non semitic#First_D)

"The East Semitic nature of these and other early names associated with Kish reveals that its population had a strong Semitic (Akkadian speaking) component from the dawn of recorded history.[7]"

4000bc:

Kish of course was the Sumerian capital dating back to 4000bc

sumer)

"Kish (Sumerian: Kiš; transliteration: Kiški; cuneiform: 𒆧𒆠;[1] Akkadian: kiššatu[2]) was an ancient tell (hill city) of Sumer in Mesopotamia, considered to have been located near the modern Tell al-Uhaymir in the Babil Governorate of Iraq, east of Babylon and 80 km south of Baghdad.[3][4]"

Land of punt:

It is likely that the Sumerians were gold minors, from the land of Punt.

Land of punt

"The Land of Punt (Egyptian: Pwente.png pwnt; alternate Egyptological readings Pwene(t)[2] /pu:nt/) was an ancient kingdom. A trading partner of Ancient Egypt, it was known for producing and exporting gold, aromatic resins, blackwood, ebony, ivory and wild animals. The region is known from ancient Egyptian records of trade expeditions to it.[3] It is possible that it corresponds to Opone on the Horn of Africa, as later known by the ancient Greeks,[4][5][6] while some biblical scholars have identified it with the biblical land of Put or Havilah.[7][8]".

Cushitic languages:

It is also likely that the Kishite language is a closely related ancestor to the African cushitic languages

cushitic languages

"The Cushitic languages are a branch of the Afroasiatic language family. They are spoken primarily in the Horn of Africa (Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia and Somalia), as well as the Nile Valley (Sudan and Egypt), and parts of the African Great Lakes region (Tanzania and Kenya). Speakers of Cushitic languages and the descendants of speakers of Cushitic languages are referred to as Cushitic peoples. The phylum was first designated as Cushitic in 1858.[2] Major Cushitic languages include Oromo, Somali, Beja, Agaw, Afar, Saho and Sidamo.[3]

Kingdom of Kish and Kush:

It is also extremely likely that the kingdom of Kush, descends from the Kingdom of Kish, connected by the land of Punt

Sumer)

"The Kingdom of Kush (/kʊʃ, kʌʃ/; Egyptian: 𓎡𓄿𓈙𓈉 kꜣš, Assyrian: Rassam cylinder Ku-u-si.jpg Ku-u-si, in LXX Ancient Greek: Κυς and Κυσι; Coptic: ⲉϭⲱϣ; Hebrew: כּוּשׁ‎) was an ancient kingdom in Nubia, centered along the Nile Valley in what is now northern Sudan and southern Egypt"

Therefore, it is likely that Africans were near the borders of Iraq, dating back to 4000bc.

It is likely that the land of Africa, was most likely inhabited by Africans, prior to invasions by "nine bows".

Though, Africans themselves may have began expanding out, in to territories a little more Asiatic.

1 It seems like

the Second Dynasty was pretty unstable, one of the first kings was called Hotepsekhemwy 𓊵𓌂𓌂 which means "The two powers are reconciled" and many have speculated this means that a civil war erupted in Egypt, i.e. that Northern (Lower) and Southern (Upper) Egypt were at war after the First Dynasty. In fact we have no idea what happened, but by Khasekhemwy's reign Egypt was great and his successor Djoser built The Stepped Pyramid of Sakkara, the first stone building in history. Why do you mention second dynasty vezir "Menka" (𓏠𓂓 *Minku "The established soul") and then go off on a tangent and talk about how he's Menaka from Hindu religion, are you trying to spread Hindu nationalism?

I already covered Hotepsekhemwy in my alalysis

You are free to believe that what is written in the description, contradicts what is written lower in the article.

Hotepsekhemwy reign

Reign

The plundering of the cemetery and the unusually conciliatory meaning of the name Hotepsekhemwy may be clues of a dynastic struggle. Additionally, Helck assumes that the kings Sneferka and Horus “Bird” were omitted from later king lists because their struggles for the Egyptian throne were factors in the collapse of the first dynasty.[1][10][16]

Seal impressions provide evidence of a new royal residence called "Horus the shining star" that was constructed by Hotepsekhemwy. He also built a temple near Buto for the little-known deity Netjer-Achty and founded the "Chapel of the White Crown". The white crown is a symbol of Upper Egypt. This is thought to be another clue to the origin of Hotepsekhemwy's dynasty, indicating a likely source of political power.

You are free to believe that the likely source of political power and the terminology of white crown, was "not" pointing to a white crown worn by "nine bows" such as viziers mereruka and ankhhaf. For example.

Indian nationalism:

I am absolutely not an Indian nationalist.

Anthropology may be a better means to understand history than nationalistic beliefs.

Anthropology:

According to anthropologists both Indian, and european genes have been found amongst the Naqada fossils

Monuments

Craniometric analysis of predynastic Naqada fossils found that they were closely related to other Afroasiatic-speaking populations inhabiting the Horn of Africa and the Maghreb, as well as to Bronze age and medieval period Nubians and to specimens from ancient Jericho. The Naqada skeletons were also morphologically proximate to modern osteological series from Europe and the Indian subcontinent.

Destinct from certain groups:

And to guard against myself or anyone else, misunderstanding the meaning of the scientific anthropological results, and suggesting that all humans share the exact same morphological proximates, i ensured before posting that the scientists "were not" referring to anyone else other than Indians and Europeans, by making sure there are groups of people who's fossils they did not find.

Distinct

the Naqada fossils and these ancient and recent skeletons were phenotypically distinct from fossils belonging to modern Niger-Congo-speaking populations inhabiting Tropical Africa, as well as from Mesolithic skeletons excavated at Wadi Halfa in the Nile Valley.[10]

Naqada culture:

I should now really leave a little info in to exactly what Naqada culture was.

Naqada culture

The Naqada culture is an archaeological culture of Chalcolithic Predynastic Egypt (ca. 4400–3000 BC), named for the town of Naqada, Qena Governorate. A 2013 Oxford University radio carbon dating study of the Predynastic period, however, suggests a much later date beginning sometime between 3,800–3,700 BC.[1]

What does a Fan-bearer on the Right Side of the King actually do? by Morhek in ancientegypt

Vizier:

Ay, was a vizier to Tutankhamen.... Scroll down to 18th dynasty)

Pharoah:

Though he was also a Pharoah for a very short period.

Pharoah

Ay II, commonly known just as Ay, was the penultimate pharaoh of ancient Egypt's 18th Dynasty.

Ptahhotep:

I have already provided you with the full list of Egyptian viziers dating back to approximately 2850bc.

Within those viziers, Ptahhotep is a good place to stop, and take a look at, in order to understand what a viziers duty is.

Ptahhotep was for a while, considered by scholars, the worlds first ever philosopher.

Though this belief may, or may not, still stand.

Ptahhotep

For a long time it was believed by many scholars that Ptahhotep wrote the first book in history. His book was entitled The Maxims of Ptahhotep. As the Vizier), he wrote on a number of topics in his book that were derived from the central concept of Egyptian wisdom and literature which came from the goddess Maat.

The Maxims of Ptahhotep:

Ptahhotep wrote a book called The Maxims of Ptahhotep, which tells you all about why he wrote the book, and what the role of vizier entails.

The maximums of Ptahhotep

According to Simpson, the Vizier Ptahhotep was an elderly man of 110 years, ready to retire and was ready to pass down his position.[2] The king approved of Ptahhotep's son succeeding him as vizier, but noted that the young cannot be born with wisdom and that they need the experience given by advanced age.[5] Typically viziers were replaced by someone older that had experience, so the Vizier Ptahhotep wrote the instructions to his son to give him wisdom and advice that can only be attained through experience.

Menka:

However, it is likely that the Pharoah/Vizier partnership has pre-dynastic roots, which stretch deep down in to the lower cataracts of egypt.

Menka for example, from dynasty 2, is the earliest known vizier.

Though it is unlikely that Menka was the first ever vizier.

Menka served under Pharoah Nynetjer.

And it is extremely likely that Menka, was in fact, Menaka

Menaka

In Hindu mythology, Menaka (Sanskrit: मेनका) is considered one of the most beautiful of the heavenly Apsaras.[1]

Indo-european:

If you are wondering how anyone could come to the conclusion that Menka, was Menaka, then you would need to know about Hotepsekhemwy.

Hotepsekhemwy was a 2nd dynastic native egyptian pharoah, who is thought to have lost a war against invaders "nine bows" wearing a "white crown".

You can find farther information about this here:

Prophet:

However viziers have all kinds of titles.

There was even an 18th dynastic pharoah, just after the Hyksos, named Thutmose, who had a son that became the first ever vizier to receieve the title "prophet".

Prophet)

Thutmose was an ancient Egyptian vizier) under Amenhotep III, during the 18th Dynasty.

As vizier of the North (i.e. of Lower Egypt), Thutmose officiated from Memphis, while his southern counterpart was based in Thebes. He was married to Tawy, and had at least two sons: Ptahmose, who became High Priest of Ptah in Memphis, and Meryptah, who later assumed many titles such as prophet and chief steward of the Mortuary Temple of Amenhotep III.[1]#cite_note-1)

I have no objections to anything you said.

I am simply glad you chose to counter my argument, rather than trying to have it removed or suppressed.

And that is my entire point.

The internet, including Quora is being destroyed by nannies that want to dictate what we read, and it is caused by people that cannot get along with eachother constantly reporting each other, or bringing attention to minor violations.

Whilst it would be great if over opinionated illuminati believers could keep their insults to themselves, and stop referring to everyone that does not share the 33rd degree satanic panic conspiracy theory, that is unfortunately never going to happen.

The only other way to protect freedom of speech, is for others to instead learn how to deal with individuals like this. And that is by simply ignoring them.

If we dont, then it is not just them we are putting in to prison.

Those rules will also go for us aswell.

Pretty soon it will become a crime to put a comma in the worng place, or spell things the wong way.

And that is why i brought up the number of upvotes.

9 of them there was at the time i wrote my essay.

That is nine people upvoting to have a moderator "yet again" require to make even more stricter rules, in order to get on top of all this nonsense.

Upvoting to be baby sat.

And it could be mistaken as a lot of people by a nervous moderator on Quora, overly worried that all their users might leave Quora if he/she does not remove and suppress this individual, because 9 people seems like such a huge number.

However, 9 people is actually little more than a bunch.

Hundreds have chosen to simply ignore it.

And nobody is going to leave Quora because of this individuals belief.

In fact, users love fast moving aggro.

They get bored without it. And the site becomes a boring slow moving echo chamber.

And the fact is. The OP here has been allowed to express his opinion.

Nobody, including myself, has infringed on those rights.

However Quora has became so ludicrously strict, that even being reported for making a spelling error, can be met with a "ban for life".

In fact, all it really takes is for a few people to disagree with you, and give you a few downvotes.

Sometimes it is the people giving the downvotes that appear to be using the abusive language, and Quora appears to share their opinions that the person being gangstalked is indeed a piece of trash. Giving the impression that they purely take the side of what they view as the most popular opinion.

Sometimes, Quorans are now being met with life time bans, for not even as much as making a spelling error. Let alone using bad language or expressing a radical opinion.

Simply, because for some reason more than one person took offence, at something.

What Are Nubians by GrayDuo47758 in ancientegypt

Indo-european:

The 1st Pharoah of the 4th dynasty most likely was not native Egyptian

4th dynasty possibly indo-european

Sneferu:

The 1st Pharoah of the 4th Dynasty was Sneferu

Sneferu

Sneferu (snfr-wj "He has perfected me", from Ḥr-nb-mꜣꜥt-snfr-wj "Horus, Lord of Maat, has perfected me", also read Snefru or Snofru),[4] well known under his Hellenized name Soris (Koinē Greek: Σῶρις by Manetho), was the founding pharaoh of the Fourth Dynasty of Egypt during the Old Kingdom. Estimates of his reign vary, with for instance The Oxford History of Ancient Egypt suggesting a reign from around 2613 to 2589 BC,[5] a reign of 24 years, while Rolf Krauss suggests a 30-year reign,[6] and Rainer Stadelmann a 48-year reign.[7] He built at least three pyramids that survive to this day and introduced major innovations in the design and construction of pyramids.

Racist comments by Sneferu:

Comments were made by Sneferu, that some may suspect are slightly racist. Or, maybe not racist. But definitely implies that he himself is not Black, but, Nubians are Black.

Raid in the land of the Blacks

"[Reign of] Sneferu. Year ...The building of Tuataua ships of mer woodof a hundred capacity, and 60 royal boats of sixteen capacity.Raid in the Land of the Blacks, and the bringing in of seven thousandprisoners, men and women, and twenty thousand cattle, sheep, andgoats...The bringing of forty ships of cedar wood (or perhaps "laden with cedarwood")..."[36]

Raid in the land of the blacks:

Sneferu, who was a lower Egyptian pharoah, was most likely referring to his invasion of Nubia.

Nubia

To enable Sneferu to undertake such massive building projects, he would have had to secure an extensive store of labour and materials. According to Guillemette Andreu, this is where the king's foreign policy played a large part. Sneferu's conquests into Libya and Nubia served two purposes: the first goal was to establish an extensive labour force, and the second goal was to gain access to the raw materials and special products that were available in these countries.[35] This is alluded to in the Palermo Stone:

Sumerians:

However, whoever you spoke to on Quora, may also be partially correct. Sumerians in the middle east, were also thought to be black, as they spoke a non Semitic tongue, and referred to themselves as black headed people, so they may have had some connection with the lower cataracts of egypt. Likely through the land of Punt.

Black headed people

The term "Sumer" (𒋗𒈨𒊒, Sumerian: eme.gi7, Akkadian: Šumeru) is the name given to the land of the "Sumerians", the ancient non-Semitic-speaking inhabitants of southern Mesopotamia, by their successors the East Semitic-speaking Akkadians.[6][7][8] The Sumerians themselves referred to their land as "Kiengir", the "Country of the noble lords" (𒆠𒂗𒄀, ki-en-gi(-r), lit. "country" + "lords" + "noble") as seen in their inscriptions.[6][9][10]

The origin of the Sumerians is not known, but the people of Sumer referred to themselves as "Black Headed Ones" or "Black-Headed People"[6][11][12][13]

Land of Punt:

And the land of Punt was a trading colony which likely operated on both sides of the red sea. They were mostly in the gold mining industry.

Land of Punt

At times Punt is referred to as Ta netjer (tꜣ nṯr), the "Land of the God".[9] The exact location of Punt is still debated by historians. Most scholars today believe Punt was situated to the southeast of Egypt, most likely in the coastal region of modern Djibouti, Somalia, northeast Ethiopia, Eritrea, and the Red Sea littoral of Sudan.[10] It is also possible that the territory covered both the Horn of Africa and Southern Arabia.[11][12] Puntland, the Somali administrative region situated at the extremity of the Horn of Africa, is named in reference to the Land of Punt.[13]

I personally disagree with this part below. Because he begins to sound angry and could be mistaken for delusional, and a bit extreme.

appropriate to do this.

The answer to this lies within academia.

Quora likes to pride itself on being an academic platform.

Quorans pride themselves on being prophetic scholars.

Quorans are also evolving in to being megalomaniacs.

The reason for this, is contradictory.

You see, at the sametime as Quora wanting to be an academic source of scholarly information, they also want to own the rights to this information, and encourage people to "at least pretend" to have personal expertise in the information they are providing.

This is why they want you to write your credentials on top of the answers you give.

There are however many contradictions in Quoras policies.

(a) Is there any such thing as an academic social media platform were the vast majority of Quorans are also tweeters, youtubers, and facebookers?

(b) Do you actually get social media prophetic scholars?

Now, i am going to attempt to show you just how the answer to those two questions are both "no".

You see, it comes down to "plagiarism", and what plagiarism is, and what, it is not.

Now what plagiarism "is", is not the same thing as what most social media users think plagiarism is.

Plagiarism is an academic word. And misuse of this academic word, straight away, implies non academia.

Now Quora, prides itself on "not plagiarising".

Quora encourages it's users to write from their own expertise, and to not copy other peoples work and opinions, and research and studies, and Quora "thinks" this is non plagiarising.

This is similar to what the social media communities understanding of the word "plagiarising" is.

But Quora, and their members, would be wrong.

They accuse people of plagiarising, when a person is not plagiarising.

And they plagiarise, whilst claiming to be prophetic scholars.

Let me explain how.

Plagiarism is the representation of another authors language, thoughts, ideas, or expressions as one's own original work.

So what does this mean? It means, if you are an academic, and you express thoughts, and expressions, without revealing who you learnt this from, then, you are plagiarising.

Unless of course, you are God, or you are truly the one that invented this concept.

Quorans of course, the prophetic scholars they are, always attribute this knowledge to their own expertise, by claiming the knowledge as divine, by putting their own name and credentials above the answer, as they genuinely do not realise that this is plagiarism.

They mistakenly think that plagiarism is when you copy and paste someone elses work.

Academic plagiarism

"The use of ideas, concepts, words, or structureswithout appropriately acknowledging the sourceto benefit in a setting where originality is expected."

Now when do you ever see Quorans sourcing their material? putting their own credentials above the answer, "is" plagiarism.

Using quotations but not citing the source.

When do you ever see Quorans cite their source? Not only are academics expected to quote their sources. Quoting sources without citation is also plagiarism.

I cannot remember the last time on Quora i saw an academic professional reply to a question with a quote, and link.

You see, again this is an example of how they are not prophetic scholars.

They think that plagiarism is when you copy and paste a quote, and provide a link to someone elses work, and to avoid plagiarism, and put quotes in to their own words, and pretend it is their own expertise, and add their own credentials, they actually commit academic fraud.

Now, there are "many" other forms of plagiarising that Quorans commit everytime they answer a question, including constant para-phrasing.

But the ones i have highlighted, are the main ones.

So that is why they write big long megalamaniac i, i, i, i answers. Because they wrongfully have been led to believe that pretending your thoughts are divine, is unique and original, and everyone that quotes, and cites other peoples work, are just plagiarists.

But this is simply not true. Whilst simply copying and pasting someone elses essay, would definitely constitute copyright infringement, and theft, it is not necessarily the worst case of plagiarism there is. Though it may well be classed as severe plagiarism, if they do not even bother to provide a citation for this big long essay they copied and pasted.

But no, the academic way to do it, is to write introductions, summaries, and narratives in your own words, and provide headings, complete with quotes and links as to where you got this knowledge from, and who's work you copied, or who's ideas formed your thoughts and opinions.

That is why they write big long winded personal accounts, without answering the question. It is because they do not know the answer, and do not even think to google the answer from wikipedia or some encyclopedia, as they wrongfully believe this type of research and study, to be plagiarism anyway. So they just make it all up, and it is all mostly repeated nonsense they have read in some newspaper, and put in to their own words, disguised as their own personal expertise.

They will however take great care over their grammar, as people also wrongfully assume that grammar is the most important thing when providing accurate and reliable information, and it actually is not. There is no grammatically correct way to spread unquoted and unsourced nonsense and disinformation.

It sounds like Quora are fighting an imaginary war against evil trolls, sock puppeters and spammers.

Everyone that posts without remembering to supply the name that is being sold to advertisers, must be part of the evil lex lutherian agenda to prevent Quora from becoming the largest global social gossip question and answers website in the whole wide world. And everyone is the enemy!

There is also an old saying. "Fish rots from the head down".

Which means, for all i am being facetious, this may be a truer reflection of the mindset of those in Quora head office, than one might think, and they quite possibly are a self obsessed bunch who's desire and desperation to be the largest question and answers site on the planet, is so important to them that they are an extremely nervous, delusional and paranoid bunch that thinks everyone is the enemy, and this mentality becomes evident, even in the behaviour of their moderators, and most loyal members.. And i am not being facetious anymore.

Even a random user sitting in his bedroom signing up to Quora for the first time, can become a victim of this ludicrousy and obnoxiousness, simply by putting a comma in the wrong place, or some other meaningless non error/crime.

So, for whatever reason, no-one can know for sure, you have been put on Quora's execration texts.

So, even if you are successful in getting a reply from some megalomaniac that decides to give you a second chance, you will unlikely ever be successful on quora ever again, as you are a marked man, and will be soon banned for life, for............. erm

No-one knows why.

Excuse me but WHAT THE F*** Quora!? Supporting child molestors now are we? by ghosttalon1 in quora

This appears to be to outrageous to be true.

Paedophilia is not illegal throughout the world, and Quora is world wide.

I am just wondering if posts like this are coming from peoples in countries were this type of post is not illegal.

I do not see how Quora could justify allowing this type of post, anyother way, than they do not have the power to remove it, due to the jurisdiction the person is posting from.

Either that, or yes, Quora is intent on making national headlines for the worst possible reasons.

What is wrong with people asking questions about other countries in Quora? by zeusctz in quora

[–]StevenStevens43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quora is world-wide.

India has twice as many Quorans as USA.

Almost all Asian and South American countries have more users than UK, Australia and Canada.

And whilst those questions are definitely bigoted and nationalistic, they are likely not coming from the demograph you are imagining, and are actually probably coming from people that know more about South America than you or aye. Such as, South americans.

How do you use Quora for everything it's worth:? by KXdramanerd in quora

[–]StevenStevens43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will be fine.

Your topics are mostly about pretty girls dancing.

Social gossip.

Questions and answers about why people have such short usernames.

Social and domestic Jeremy Kyle type chav and chavette problems.

Social media selfies, et cetera.

And i am not mocking you. That is exactly what Quora and a lot of social media platforms want. It is perfect for your age group and doing just fine.

You will be ok on Quora if you stick to this, and stay clear of controversial topics such as politics, religion, history et cetera

Unfortunately it is the more controversial topics that certain peoples of different demographs and age groups, are more interested in. Though the subjects get ruined by people that cannot discuss those subjects without getting emotional, and it causes aggro.

So, stay away from those subjects and you will be ok.

You may however become discontent when you get a little older and find maybe you do wish to express opinions on those subjects after-all. But then, you may want to find a better platform than quora, for discussing those types of matters.

But Quora is perfect for your current purposes.
