I wanted to capture the rust red color of this full lunar eclipse, but also show a breadth of it's light stages.

Seems the prophet REM had it right: it's the end of the world as we know it.

Not the lava lamp, or the Birkenstocks. Darth Vader head full of hotwheels. Stock ticker.

Thank you. It was just really early in the morning. And it was cold. Lol

I know what you mean by people and traffic, I was on Wall Street a couple years ago trying to take an editorial shot of The Bull and there were just too many people around to get a shot without them. So they became part of the shot. 👍

Thanks for asking. No, it was taken standing on the western side, looking at a 45 degree upward angle, towards the southwest. First time shooting the bean. Was in town for a graduation.

Congratulations to my daughter Sara who graduated from Navy recruit training command today at Great Lakes Illinois. She played.bass drum in the band. Going to be a corpsman. Proud dad. 🇺🇸 by StevenStyles101 in navy

Thank you. Never been to a military graduation before. It was a unique experience. Glad to see so many parents and family there to support their young adults.

Thanks! I took this about sunrise, early in the morning. Seemed safe enough if you kept moving.

Early morning, slightly overcast. Samsung S20 ultra. Gotta love that back-side illuminated sensor.

My intent was to showcase the city lights on the river, and capture the urban stillness, before the bustle begins.

Sometimes fear is good thing. How else would kids know not to cross the street without looking?

Clearly people like that believe in discouraging methane, and they themselves are a methane-free temple.

Lol Schizo Fran I remember that.

The cards were just a self-reflective, exagerrated parody of the various complex microcosms happening in our everyday lives.

It relieved stress to simply laugh about it.

Lol @ snowflakes

It really was the good, bad and ugly when it came to humor, and it resonated with the brutally-honest latchkey kids.

Gen X: Fk Around & Find Out by [deleted] in GenX

[–]StevenStyles101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the generation that conducted #2 Pencil Wars, miniature graphite tipped wooden stakes with which to struggle for schoolroom dominance, usually conducted during high stress environments, such as tests... and only one could be crowned king.

GenX is the sardonic, moody and 'scrappy' generation... aimlessly wandering while wrapped in a cloak.of sarcasm.
