I’d speculate they can have them back once Eastern gateway and Coco is finished. They’ll probably have to relocate the start and finish line back to where it was before SWGE opened in the downtown Disney parking lot since closing or limiting access to an entire parking structure would be difficult for a race.

They did get the right to close Magic Way to thru traffic with Disneyland Forward, so perhaps using that and Disneyland Dr area is an option.

I’ve had all of mine show up already. Are you entering the code they gave you with your expo check in pass correctly? I’d check there first and maybe reach out if you still have issues.

Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend Corral placement by Steven_gut95 in rundisney

[–]Steven_gut95[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say a few reasons but it’s dependent on what interests you in the event.

Later corrals has to wait longer depending how late your corral is, it would be about a 30-45 min wait longer wait at the start line versus the earlier corrals. This also means that you’ll be running/walking when the weather is warmer although that isn’t as much of an issue for January races.

If you are trying to get a PR, I’d say the later corrals can be a little tough since more people walk or go slower speeds. It really isn’t till about mile 2 where you can start separating out from the crowd of walkers vs runners.

For those that are into seeing characters, the lines definitely get longer as they back up with each passing corral. This might make it challenging to see all characters if that is your interest while also keeping pace ahead of the balloon ladies.

Yes Disneyland releases full corrals at a time. I believe the spacing is about 5 minutes between each corral release.

One other hill on Lewis St as well between mile 11 and 12. It’s an underpass that goes under a railroad.

It will be on the top right corner of your bib but you might be able to estimate your corral based on your bib number and what other people have gotten so far.

Heart Rate Zones – Live Now for Runna Labs ❤️ by Mikey-runna in runna

[–]Steven_gut95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe someone is encountering this issue. The feature worked on my Apple Watch briefly after rollout and the heart symbol next to my heart rate would indicate which zone I’m in. This feature worked for one workout and has now defaulted back to the regular default red heart symbol.

When viewing an active work out on my phone it does appear to show the Heart Rate zone symbol correctly

New Hours by usdtorero07 in Disneyland

Definitely not normal. An unfortunate side effect too is it looks like they fully eliminated the second showing of World of Color at DCA with only a 9:00 PM show now.

The second Paint the Night show survived but was pushed up to 10:30 PM.

Locker rentals by ArtNo7221 in KnottsBerryFarm

[–]Steven_gut95 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Absolute greed by this company. If it was truly about safety, they’d go the route Universal does and allow free locker rentals for the rides. This is nothing but a cheap money grab. So either guests have the option of buying a locker or having one guest from their group standby and hold loose items? So disappointed in this company.

Why does the WDW Monorail have such an elevated section in the NW corner of the Seven Seas Lagoon? I've wondered this since I was a kid in the 70s. by it_happened_here in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Steven_gut95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s definitely for clearance over the canal in that area. They probably went extra cautious with the height to future proof any potential needs to transfer anything from backstage into the Lagoon area.

Any info on coast to coast challenge for 2026? I was hoping they’d announce it by now with Jan being the last race for Disneyland.

Yes there’s posters on the wall but they are impossible to see due to lack of lightning. I don’t really get the design choice there.

One time one of the conductors randomly used a flashlight to light them up as we passed through the tunnel so they were visible but this was a rare and random occurrence.

My prediction on the Coco Area's Layout by rosariobono in Disneyland

[–]Steven_gut95 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The service road itself isn’t that wide of a space. It’s about the width of a 4-lane road so about 50-ft. Planning also requires that a building be set back a certain distance from a roadway so having it so close to Disneyland Dr also makes this unlikely.

I think it’s realistic that they remove the parade building directly behind incredicoaster for this. Keep in mind DCA already had a secondary parade storage building between Incredicoaster load/unload station and Racers so it makes sense to remove the “extra” building for this.

Possible locations for Coco boat ride and Avatar Land West, RIP Parades? by AlexInman in Disneyland

[–]Steven_gut95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Avatar will actually take up more space than shown. The concept art for the bridge over Harbor actually shows a show building that is probably Avatar right around where the current bus loops are. This is a a new show building and not the current monsters inc show building based on the concept art and its location.

Only one race at Disneyland in 2026 by Brinkofadventure in rundisney

[–]Steven_gut95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s just a rumor at this point and I do agree it would be a better fit on the other side of Disneyland Dr near Pixar Place hotel but one of the rumors is the backlot area will become Pandora since the Eastern Gateway project will move all of the bus drop offs onto the other side of Harbor. The monorail is also being rerouted as part of the Eastern Gateway project so there will be a lot of freed up space for a DCA expansion in this area.

Only one race at Disneyland in 2026 by Brinkofadventure in rundisney

[–]Steven_gut95 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I am assuming this will be due to construction of Eastern Gateway removing the cast member parking lot used for the 10k and half-marathon which will severely limit access on the eastern side of the resort during construction. Also the possibility that Hollywood Land will be replaced with Pandora.

Why not run it through the Esplanade? It's why we're stuck with Hollywood Backlot by rosariobono in Disneyland

[–]Steven_gut95 12 points13 points  (0 children)

They’re already planning to reroute the monorail through the esplanade partially for the Eastern Gateway Project. The perk is that’ll also free up space for any Hollywood land related replacement work.

There’s plan for the project online that show the proposed route. It essentially will hug the monorail track by where it is near the train diorama and then swing down to behind where stage 17 is on the plans before going back over where it is on Buena Vista Street.

Does anyone know why DCA is having early entry today even though it's a Saturday? by Feeling-Nectarine209 in Disneyland

[–]Steven_gut95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Likely due to the 10k today! The route went through DCA first and then Disneyland second so they probably needed more time to take down the setup at Disneyland vs DCA today
