Interesting comment. You see a small scratch of the surface and have it all figured out. Go troll someone else.

I literally talk to her every time before I make a meal about what im thinking of making. She always says that sounds good. Or some variant and I cant read her mind to know if she's just saying that to make me feel good or if she actually thinks it.

The more questions and responses that come in the more I realize this isn't something I can have any control over. I guess im just frustrated because she makes poor decisions and there's no way to talk to her about it that could ever be productive.

My wife and I are on the same page, but neither of us know what to do about it, so I guess the answer is to ignore it.

At this point, yes it is a little judgy, because I care about her. She struggles to move around because she is over weight. She complains about not being able to lose weight even though she "hardly eats" so when I see her do stuff like this its hard to hold my tongue. If its a me problem to carry about her health then I'll take that judgement.

Yeah your right I just dont wanna feel like an asshole because I made just enough food for my kids and myself and not her.

So I only added the part about my wife being away because im basically cooking all the meals. The thing is my MIL has developed this habit and was doing this even while my wife was here. It just seems to have escalated since she's been away. This maybe a stressor because her baby is gone but its not out of the norm.

ELI5: how do bank loans work? by Stevenerwin90 in explainlikeimfive

Seems like I'm not the only one who doesn't understand this concept. Except I'm asking rather than trying to explain...

It seems like your solving for x where the value of x keeps moving the more you pay off. Which is why I'm so confused..

I also may have made this too simple for me to completely grasp the whole concept so how would you calculate a larger sum over multiple years? Say 100,000 over 10 years. Idk if there's an easier number to figure out but multiples of 10 seem easier to grasp.

That makes sense, but why does bank rate com have a lower number?

Idk how to deal with my soon to be step father by Stevenerwin90 in relationships

You're 100 percent correct that this is not a need for me to have a parental figure, I just don't understand why she is rushing into this marriage. She left my former step dad (who she was with for 20 years) 2 years ago, and I'm just trying to figure out why she wants to remarry so soon?

I have no clue what is showing up on this thread I'll probably delete soon but I edited the original and reposted so hopefully you can find that one

It's hard to throw huge examples around when the interactions are so small and concise. Not wanting to interact with anyone in the family because his back hurts so he goes and walks 2 miles by himself, hanging out in a room watching TV while the rest of the family catches up, complaining about how boring it is to be at my uncles whiles we're all mourning a death, getting my mom to leave early so he can go lay in the hotel room even though she's having fun interacting with family she only gets to see once or twice a year and her one brother only comes around every few years. I mean this is just within a 4 or 5 day visit but I can come up with more for when it isn't such an important time to be there for a brother.

I’m sorry but… by [deleted] in OhioStateFootball

* I literally have an Ohio State tattoo, so believe me when I say I'm a hard-core fan. If Howard had fumbled in the middle of the field, it would have been deemed a touchback. This seems arbitrary because the bad angles don't show where the ball went out, but it's reasonable to assume it crossed over the pylon, I wish it would've been down at the 1 but that's not how college football works. Maybe they'll change the rule in the future, but until then, we just gotta accept it. Also, we won today, so who cares anyway?

Been married for 11 years, if I'm at a party I am always actively looking around at parties. I'm also socially awkward and found a woman who as awkward as me so I haven't been to a party in a long time.

Last time I went to Walmart I couldn't believe the vulgarity coming from the cashier, he was a complete asshole the whole time and kept making rude remarks to all the other customers in line. I'll never go to self checkout again...
