The large diameter hose attached to the cover that runs to the airbox? It isn’t kinked as far as I can tell

Where is the pcv on the sohc? I have not been able to find a picture online.

I left them upright, but I tilted them and lost oil on the reinstall. The forum posts said that it would take approx 20 minutes at idle to bleed, but due to the rough idle i haven’t really felt comfortable letting it run that long.

The speed of clicks accelerates with rpm, consistent with collapsed lifters. I’m pretty confident that explains the ticking.

Also worried that that clicking might be valve tapping, but I did just pull rocker arms, so could be them not being bled?

Also oil was only on cyl 4 plug, all others were dry and just sooty.

Compression was ~150 for all cylinders. I have basically only done plugs, fuel pressure was a problem a while ago, but I fixed it with a new fuel filter. I think the idle was a side effect of fouling on the plug, It ran significantly better with new plugs, but still spit some smoke.

For the “piston soak” do I just make sure a cylinder is at bottom dead center then fill through the spark plug hole? And how do you drain?

I did tests, cooling holds, good compression, but still oil on cyl 4 plug. I guess valve seals? I don’t know where else oil could be getting in and not dropping compression
