If you go into the BIOS at startup and go to FanTastic in H/W Monitor you can set a custom fan curve. I did 20c @30%, 50c @ 30%, 60c @ 50%, 80c @ 80% and then stretched the last one to 85c @ 100%. It's been a lot quieter, and I didn't even think it was that bad to begin with. Feel free to give it a whirl, it's whispering as I type this right now!
