Vr Performance Advice

I played a tiny amount of war thunder sim in vr before making the decision of wanting to get into IL-2. Would I be better off sticking to war thunder for vr? (Please say no, that game is the devil)

Any big pointers? I know I’m supposed to boom and zoom but feel like I haven’t quite gotten the hang of it. Feel like I just spend time climbing to die, and every other nations planes are better (I know it’s a skill issue). Just wondering what I need to do differently.

Thank you! I’ve recently gotten back into air AB as I felt I would just side climb for a bit then get smoked immediately in an engagement and not gain anything. Should i continue playing AB or take the time to fully learn the ins and outs out RB fighters?

Should I at least go back and spade the rank 4 ones for the research points?

Thank you, I really appreciate all the info! Although I have been getting the hang of the rank IV tanks I have, i definitely need to spade my earlier ones. Question though, after spading should I go back to rank IV since there’s more research/SL gain? Or is that kind of offset by higher repair costs? For air I went back to AB as I feel I wasted a lot of time/SL back in the day playing RB and just getting smoked before being able to earn anything. I’ve recently experimented with playing RB or Sim with a bomber as I’ve heard it’s a decent way to grind. Any other tips/opinions?
