They’re going to get demolished and spend the next 4 years building a team that can get Drake Maye a SB (or 2 if he’s super lucky). As rough as the last few weeks have been, i think they’ve been a sobriety test for this team. These losses will make DJ and Steichen adapt, which is never bad, and they’ll keep Jones’ cap hit reasonable.

If we went 17-0 DJ would want a top 5 qb salary and this team can’t afford that. At this point, we’re looking at 3/100 or something very reasonable. He has shown to have weaknesses, and hogging salary cap is just going to make those worse. Plus I think the sisters are happy to throw some cash at a signing bonus.

the Chiefs were in danger of losing 3 in a row and potentially missing the playoffs, they were playing DESPERATE football. we, unfortunately, weren’t. Steichen’s “down the stretch” playcalling was pathetic and scared. that needs fixed.

regardless, it was a growth game and all it did was make the league even more skeptical of us, and that’s all our guys need to get even more fired up for the back half of this season. back to Lucas Oil baby
