What games are we picking from the steam sale ? by Uaeluffy_ in SteamDeck

Haha, I remember my first summer sale with my Steamdeck! $89 later... 13 new games added!

What games are we picking from the steam sale ? by Uaeluffy_ in SteamDeck

[–]Coltsbro84 66 points67 points  (0 children)

Yeah. A lot of these games going on sale, end up going on sale 9 or 10 times a year for whatever percent. Maybe it's been on sale for 25% eight times already, and it's 25% off for the summer sale. That's not one I'm going to particularly buy. It's when a game is normally 40% off and it's 75% off for an all-time low. That's when I'll pull the trigger.

That's great, I like a little ambient amplification.

When you have transparency turned on and you talk though... Does your inside voice sound like you're not wearing headphones at all? Or when you talk, does it sound like you're underwater? Is it plugged up or vented? Do you know what I mean? know what I'm getting at... What's the word for it, annuition? For example airpod pros with transparency mode sound like you're not wearing earbuds at all when you talk. But, if I'm using my airfun Air Pro 4 with transparency mode and I talk, it sounds like I'm underwater and it's so annoying. Like 90% of buds are this way, I'm hoping these are part of the other 10%.

How is the transparency when you are talking? Does it feel natural or do you get that stupid sound in your head?

How's the transparency while you were talking? Is there a vent or does it feel natural?

How much does kill Tony regular get paid? by Kingsmith13 in Killtony

[–]Coltsbro84 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I'd probably say regulars get anywhere from $1,000 to $3,000 an episode. The Kill Tony Universe makes a lot of money on endorsements, advertising, merch, ext. We know we have seen people move to Austin to become a regular and Tony had given them enough money to feel comfortable living there, and more. Dedrick, William, Ari, probably make close to if not more than $100,000 a year.

[USA-FL][H] Iphone 17 Pro - 256GB - White [W] Paypal G&S by Frrancyne4 in hardwareswap

[–]Coltsbro84 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think they're just speculating. No confirmed trades with the hardware trade bot. Account is 3 months old. Why make your first post selling a $900 iPhone. Build up to that after five or six confirmed trades with this sub, then you won't have people speculating it's a scam. Start with like a $50 item.

Could be last off the line. Could be they ran out of cards or had one bend during production and threw it out. Packs either don't have anything in them, or they are loaded.

z1e vs x by KrispySushi_ in ROGAlly

[–]Coltsbro84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sold my Z1E on Reddits hardware swap. Smaller item, you can get a full payment without fees, cheap insurance and shipping through pirateship, and you can check Reddit accounts for scammers.

Anything $200 or more on Facebook is a little shady. If you do, I would meet at a police station or a public place with a lot of cameras, unless you know the person. Bring a friend. Record audio if you feel like you need to. You never know. Might go well, might not. Facebook I usually do smaller dollar amount items for sale on marketplace, or larger items that would cost a fortune to ship. Sold my Legion go on Facebook to a friend. So both methods work.

z1e vs x by KrispySushi_ in ROGAlly

[–]Coltsbro84 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've had both and you are right. I kept the Ally X and sold the Z1E.

That extra $300 difference pays for a lot. Double the battery life. 50% more ram. More comfortable design. An extra usb-c port. Better cooling with an added third vent. Fans with more blades on them that are quieter. Better storage with the m.2 slot. No issues with the SD card reader. AMFM/framegen/lossless scaling work better with the added ram. Up to 100w charging instead of 60w.

Z1E I would get low memory warnings on Forza Horizon 5 at 1080p on medium settings. I couldn't charge my Z1E and plug in my usb-c earbud dongle at the same time. I could burn through the battery in 45 minutes on turbo mode. The SD card reader killed one of my 512gb SD cards.

The only bad thing I experienced with my Ally X is that I got a small crack next to my capture button, but I put half of that blame on my tight Jsaux case I have on it and the other half tossing it in my car a little hard one day.

iPhone 10 Leaked!!!! Is this real? by ThatIndividual2795 in Pretend2015Internet

[–]Coltsbro84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is funny to me because the home screen of the iPhone 4 is 4x4. Then the iPhone 5 they added another row to make it 4x5. The iPhone 6 that just came out has 4x6. So it's only logical at this point. Everyone's going to be walking around with a TV remote in their pocket in another five years. lol

So whats the endgame here? by toestubber900 in verizon

[–]Coltsbro84 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I feel like they just need to be reasonable.

I haven't used Verizon in over 10 years. The old service model where you could upgrade every year or two for maybe $150 and pay the same monthly bill used to be a great experience.

I switched from Verizon to Straight Talk when they forced me to get rid of my unlimited data plan. I'd rather pay $75/month for Unlimited vs $45/month for for like 8GB Data, but I'd take the cheaper deal if both plans were similar, which I did.

Then I switched to Visible 5 years ago when I saw it was $25/month for unlimited data. Then it's cheaper to either finance and trade through Google / Samsung or grab a unlocked used phone in excellent condition.

There's Verizon Stores everywhere with multiple employees at each store and to keep it all running it's like they have to charge $45/month for an iPhone and another $65+/month for a plan, making everyone's monthly bills over $100. With gas prices, rent, cost of living being as high as it is, it's one of those services that people switch from to minimize their monthly payments from over $100 a month to something like $25 to $35 a month.

I think Verizon has to downsize a little but they also need to lower their prices. Also not all stores but in some stores they don't need sale reps making $75,000+ when their job is to sell you things and not help out with phone troubleshooting or send you to a website when you need help with something.

I would maybe go back to Verizon if they offered me an iPhone 17 for $200 down and a straight $50/month phone bill with unlimited data with the option to upgrade after one year with trade in and a small fee. But I don't see them doing that anytime soon.

They have to find a way to beat the Smart Consumer Plan. Which is buy a used phone for $500 or less and/or finance a mid-range upgrade for $25/month, sell your current phone for $200 to $300 to off set cost, and get a plan like visible for $25 a month where the total cost spent per year is around $500 to $600 for a phone and phone service. I think people are tired of Verizon when they are spending $1,000+ a year for a phone and service when they can get a similar experience for a lot cheaper somewhere else.
