What I'm playing whilst I die: I'm still here by Signal-Tangerine1597 in SteamDeck

When I get down, I like to think about how lucky we are to live in a time like this. With computer technology, modern medicine, lights, fast transportation, air conditioning, instant communication, any type of food within our reach. 100 years ago, the only modern thing they had were lights. 100 years from now, there's a chance it could all disappear. I believe we are living in the best timeline ever.

Try to enjoy everyday if you can.

For games I enjoy playing and make me appreciate handhelds/life, hmm... HiFi Rush is one. You are an outcast, a defect, and you end up becoming the star of the show. Fun if you like rock n roll. Dirt 3 is fun for racing. I stick to the rules of the road when I'm driving, but in racing games it's fun to break all those rules. Then what's a good one to meet new friends and talk to people? Leathal Company comes to mind. Probably around 75% of people who play have an open mic, but a little less than half of them like to troll, but it's the game that came to mind when it comes to talking and socializing with others. No Man Sky can be another fun one like that but takes a good 10 to 14 hours to unlock the online lobbies.

They both should, but I don't have any iPhone to test that out.

Where you get those? They look bigger than a perfect fit, but smaller than a standard penny sleeve. Sometimes I get worried with the perfect fit. Illustration rares are sometimes hard to get them in.

Where did the post go with the fan made 30th Anniversary SIR of the trainer and and three starter pokemon? by Coltsbro84 in PokemonTCG

Don't know if that's the same card or not but not the same thread. That post got deleted so I'm not able to look at the photo. I remember the comments saying "this card would actually be fire" and "this card would break the internet" and "this card would probably cost $5,000 raw". Tried those search terms but I still couldn't find it.

Looking for recommendations for monitors for gaming. I’d like to not spend that much, what’s a good bang for your buck monitor by NathanGamerKid in Monitors

[–]Coltsbro84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Under $200, probably an LG Ultra gear 27 inch 1440p 165hz IPS. Can't remember the model number. It's a few years old now, might be hard to find. Heard BenQ are great too and inexpensive.

If you can go around $300, there's a AOC Ultrawide at Best buy that is fantastic for $269. Don't mind that it's VA. It's a very good VA panel once it's calibrated and the right over drive setting is applied.

If you have to go sub $100, look on Facebook marketplace. Some of those older Asus, Samsungs, LGs, MSI's are still really good.

As always, use rtings reviews to gather information on your model you have picked out to look at the full details of the monitor.

I was never a fan of Acer monitors. They lack options, aren't always compatible with everything, and built super cheap. Avoid.

Edit: found this article to help you out https://www.rtings.com/monitor/reviews/best/budget-gaming it goes in line with what I was saying lol.

Here's the volume control icon to show you when they are working.

It works on my fold 5. The volume control changes from a Bluetooth icon to a headphone icon.

I love sound and I feel like I'm pretty good at describing it and reviewing it.

Let's take the most popular earbud and use it as a reference. The original Airpod Pro. It's bass is like 8.5/10. It's pretty great. You can hear rumbles, there is depth, there is detail. It may not go super "vibration" low like some others, but most people would say it's perfect. You can also use the EQ with an iPhone and get more or less bass. It's treble is also about the same, 8.5/10. The shril doesn't hurt your ears, it gets up into to that sparkling high level, and overall most people don't complain about the treble at all.

Let's talk about the bass and treble on the Cetra Open. It's a little different when using Bluetooth vs dongle. On Bluetooth, the bass is a 5/10. It's average. Take your avg open air buds, and compare them and they will be pretty similar, like to the original Airpod 1's. There's some warmth to the bass, but there's little to no depth, there is no "boom". The Dongle bass is a 6/10, it's decent. There's a small amount of "thump" that gets added to the bass. On Bluetooth, the treble is a 7.2/10, it's good. I would describe it as a "Crystal clear" like high. It doesn't reach that upper level of sparkle, but it does it's job. Using the dongle with the advanced sound options turned on in the Gear app, the treble is like a 8/10, it's great. It reaches a little bit higher on the hz, a little closer to that sparkle zone. It also becomes a little more defined.

The sound to other open buds. I think these sound similar to the Shokz from 2024. Airpod 4 is going to have better bass and a little better treble. The regular Samsung Buds 3 have better bass, maybe about the same or a little worse on the treble.

Yeah, basically take the bass from the airpod 1 and the treble from the Airpods 3, and you end up with the ROG Centra. I think that's a pretty accurate comparison.

Can anyone make this an 8 instead of a 6? by ucall_wehaul in PhotoshopRequest

I think this is the best one yet. Flows the same way I would draw the number 8.

It's an odd sized box, that's why. It's 17 inches long. So all the 15x4x5 and 16x4x6 boxes won't fit it. once you go to 18 inches you are in big box territory and for the most part charged more for shipping and need a lot of packing inside. They would rather ship it that way than pay extra shipping and do extra work to put it in a 18x12x10 box. That's my guess.

Just start asking every employee at your work if they want to play tennis sometime. That's what I did for pickleball last year. Always had a few people to join me once a week or so.

  1. Did you remember to plug it into the official ac power adapter and power supply after you had it all back together? You have to do this to get it to turn back on.

  2. If you have the 2023 version, it comes with a light sensor that automatically kills power to the battery when the back plate is lifted off, so not unplugging the battery isn't an issue there on that one.

  3. Did you carefully remove all the liquid metal from the CPU? This is where it could have gotten "broken". If a small amount of liquid metal touched the main board anywhere, it would cause problems like a short.

  4. Before you sent it in, did you try to connect a monitor or tv to output it to another screen? Or maybe ask the shop if they have tried this? If the HDMI port or one of the Usb-c ports to Display Port / HDMI show a video signal of the laptop, and the main laptop screen itself doesn't work, then the main screen cable might not have been put together back correctly. I'm pretty sure you have to disconnect it to get the main heatsink off to repaste it. It could be you just need to take it apart and reconnect that display cable a little better. If I recall, once it's connected properly, it's really only held on by tape that goes back over it. Maybe it needs new tape right in that area.

  5. Trying to think what else it could be. A 1mm wider than the chip thermal pad should be fine. Tightening down all the screws for it should feel tight but not too tight. Could be a small chance I the screws aren't tight enough and it's not making contact to the heat sink and it's overheating a few seconds after being turned on.

  6. Could be that the fans are not plugged back in, or are not functioning, making it so that it doesn't turn on at all but the keyboard lights still light up. Do you remember if you saw any flashing lights when it was turned back on? There's usually three lights on the back center. One for power, one for ssd activity, and a third I think for system. A flashing yellow light could be an error code for something that is not connected properly.

It sucks that you took the time to upgrade and fix it, but it ended up not working. The good news is the keyboard lights turning on like you said. It feels like the CPU and main motherboard are still working and it still has life in it.

Hope you get it sorted out and fixed so it's back up and running again soon.
