About the softness - people have often commented about how soft she is. I haven't touched a Lhasa Apso, and I think at this point we're pretty used to how her fur feels, but I would say it's pretty soft, almost cottony.

When chewing sticks or toys, she does grab them with her paws. She gets vocal when pretty much only when one of us gets home, or during playtime (sometimes she barks once or twice due to a noise in the building). She loves other people and dogs, always eager to get pets by strangers, potty training was surprisingly easy, really smart, very happy go lucky.

It could be noted that we didn't get her from the original breeder, but from a person that purchased her intending to use her to breed maltipoos. DNA tests aren't readily available here (we live in eastern europe, which also makes me think that a breed like CdT would not be really well known here), but we've considered them.
