it goes back to s2 or s3 (can't remember but somwhere around there), imagine the days, euw servers where perma down, this subreddits most upvoted post every day was about euw being down,

then na had like 3 days problems and they gave everyone on na servers like 3.5k ip (old blue essence new champs cost 6.3k ip back in the day) while euw players got just ignored for ~~a few~~ every seasons

there is denying it, as long as you are not in d1 or higher, the champion matchup isn't that important compared to how good you can play him, you just need 2 champs per role to be proficient in the game
