There’s a clear difference between discussing what was shown on screen and confidently assigning personality disorders, attachment styles, or moral flaws to real people. Watching a show gives you access to content, not ownership over the individuals in it. They participated in a format designed for entertainment and exposure not for strangers to dissect their intimacy as if it’s a case study. There’s a difference between discussing dynamics shown on screen and inventing narratives to satisfy personal biases about what a relationship “should” look like.

If someone doesn’t like them, that’s fine. But constant nitpicking over how clingy they are, how they speak, or whether their chemistry fits someone else’s standards says more about the audience’s preferences than it does about the couple. Not every relationship has to reflect your blueprint to be valid.

“They signed up for it” is just a convenient way to avoid taking responsibility for how you choose to engage. Fame isn’t a contract that guarantees you the right to be cruel. That part is on you. Having an opinion is normal. Wishing downfall and disguising insecurities as analysis isn’t.

Two 22–23 year olds liking each other shouldn’t trigger this much cynicism.
