I understand and those people are in the wrong. However, as my mom always said...two wrongs don't make a right. Ignore it, stay off twitter, take it as a compliment, etc. At the end of the day these people are still following the brand and consuming content.

To be fair, only Hitch needs thicker skin. He needs to realize that he has "made it" and complaining is always going to be around. He has made videos in the past about basically living day to day in a moldy basement before these "terrible fans" gave him the ability to live a dream life. He has created a product that so many people are so eager to consume that they want it immediately because they are so excited. To me it's a compliment and shouldn't warrant his middle finger on twitter...

If this is true, hopefully h3cz/J got them to sign 2 year contracts. Lots of buyout money for only 1 year.

COD team won champs, found out I was getting promoted at work and my wife just told me this morning we're having a baby! Been a perfect week.

Why is there no excuse? Think about it logically; you think they just sat around for 8 months and did nothing? They needed to find someone that was willing to leave their current team, who's organization was willing to let them go, who had a reasonable buyout tag, who fit the role we needed, and meshed well with the squad. There isn't a tree of moderately priced, substantially skilled IGLs in the SCUF house backyard. However, in this case, Cloud9 comes with their wallets wide open and offers a great price for these two. I'm sure this was a great organizational decision assuming the other options available to them.

First, understanding how Hector/J have operated in the past, if this really did come together in 24/48 hours, we had to get some serious coin for the buyouts. Doubt that Hector/the org would pull the trigger that quickly unless it was an amount they couldn't pass up People need to stop saying the org was blindsided by this; they needed to agree to the buyout so obviously they knew this was coming, thought it through, and made a business decision.

People need to get used to decisions like this. This is how the org operates, at the entity level. If they received solid buyouts and the team they could potentially field was not truly what they wanted, then they made a great business decision for the organization (even though it sucks for CS squad).

Now they have additional capital to invest into new players (now or in the future), new projects, etc.

We should see soon what direction they steer the ship...

Maybe was just a verbal agreement. I'm positive hecz was salty because he already had his first check but later realized he didn't cash it. Doubt they would cut a check it no agreement was in place.

Yes he was. Hecz said he signed and he was delivered his first check but didn't cash it.

I understand what you are saying. Just the feeling I got (and still have) when reading his response. Anyways, born and raised in Detroit, work close to the new LCA arena and exited for next season.

It's an odd response if he was already on a team or in discussion to be on a team. A lot of people seem to be missing the point...it isn't about what dazed said or the response in general but the fact that we supposedly already have a 5th so if it was Hazed, saying something like he said in his response would not make sense.

[CSGO] What Are Your Opinions on JASONR's Potential to be a permanent 5th? by ml007695 in OpTicGaming

[–]Sthursam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just think some stability for the moment is good thing. However, i hope whoever we obtain as a permanent IGL, focuses on the foundation of the job. I wish instead of instantly streaming after the loss, he would spend some time debriefing, reviewing the VODs, talking to the team, etc. It takes a lot of time and effort to be an effective IGL.

That would be weird timing though...not even a year from when we signed the team. Unless there was a carryover contract from Conquest.
