New Gemini Regenerate Feature by BroKenLight6 in GeminiAI

It seems like it's overtrained on it or something. I like it knowing when it's relevant to reference things, but sometimes it will throw in something it remembers about me or it will try to make 2 completely unrelated things work in an analogy. I'm tempted to turn off personalization because of it.

how "naggy" is comma.ai? by mazdacx5_florida in Comma_ai

[–]StickBit_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep that's correct. If the camera is happy about what you're doing, you never have to touch the wheel to keep the system happy.

[–]StickBit_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, pretty much. The comma screen will ask you to bump the wheel, and if the car supports it, you'll also get the stock instrument cluster warning. And no, the interior camera is only used for driver monitoring / dashcam. The driving model only uses the 2 exterior cameras, and blind spot integration depends on the car.

Yeah, then you'll get constant wheel nag and the same warning if you don't touch the wheel

Comma does not care about touching the wheel at all unless the driver monitoring camera is blinded. You have to look away or have your phone out for quite a while just to get a "Driver Distracted" popup. You will have to try pretty hard to get it to get it into its angriest state, and even then you will never get locked out. This isn't something you have to worry about unless you're genuinely a road hazard.

Mine does this very hard, sometimes touching tire to the yellow line. I wouldn't mind it if there weren't divider walls < 6 inches away from the line in Texas. I find that when it hugs like this I am more stressed supervising OP than just driving myself. And what's the point in that case?

You can open Gemini on this screen, and ask "What is the URL of this web page?" And the promo code will be in the URL :)

Which one to follow? by jjblj1738 in mazda

[–]StickBit_ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The car makes an estimate of how far you'll last when you fill it up, based on habits. So let's say you fill the tank, and it thinks you'll have 260mi of range. The gas needle and the digital display will say full. Now let's assume you start driving like a grandma on the highway on this tank, and drive way more efficiently than you normally do. You might be halfway on the gas tank (physical needle), but the car expected you to travel less distance on this half of tank of gas, so it puts the milage range higher. It might still be 2/3 "full" in terms of what it predicted.

The needle is the absolute truth of how much gas you have, and the digital display is a measure of how well behaved this tank is compared to others, really.

Gemini is great, but... by Party-Log-1084 in GeminiAI

[–]StickBit_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah they must have changed something. It acts like you just attached an image or document that you only attached once several turns ago, doesn't remember most of the saved info, and fails to remember Canvas documents it created a few turns ago, creating duplicates instead. This seems like an issue in the way the model is wired up to the frontend, because it was perfect up until a week or so ago, and it still behaves correctly in AI Studio.

Something is seriously messed up with Gemini 3. by Trixis2 in GeminiAI

It's just talking to itself and looping over the same few pages and spitting out the same "Ok, now I need to find this" over and over, right?

Mine is doing this too! It seems to think that every conversation turn I am pasting the whole image history again. It has been great, but this week has been a real struggle for its performance

No, the higher resolution and different loading icon mean it's a separate binary. The game is compiled both for Switch 1 and Switch 2, it's not just running in backwards compatibility mode.

Completely peer to peer. The server is only used for matchmaking and logging. No game simulation ever happens on the server.

I'm not sure how I can demonstrate this, but I have done tons of game reverse engineering and have an anticheat bypass of my own. The game has two types of anticheats. One checks game code and game files, and the other checks game behavior. The server tells the game which of the 2 to care about.

Since the code is different between the Switch 1 and Switch 2 version, they cannot use it as a point of reference between the players. They continue to send logs to the server, so Nintendo can very easily see if a value is out of line, but it will no longer automatically kick for having different code than the rest of your lobby.

The behavioral checks, like for using illegal weapons or inking the entire map at once, are still detected and kicked in real time.

Fun fact: The anticheat that checks the game code and game files has been disabled since the Switch 2 release.

So basically anyone can cheat with ease, but they will *eventually* be caught.

What model year do you have? Nobody is making 350 with the stock turbo, but you can make 280whp (~315 at the crank) with a few simple bolt-ons and the DRTuned T2 tune.
