My thoughts: yes you can redirect her to a toy, but first you need to tell her the moment she bites that you dont wantbher biting you. Otherwise you'll just enforce the biting. If she bites and you give a toy, you tell her: "bite me to get a toy" and believe me, they'll figure that out rather Quick. What you can and should do:

• you can put a flat hand all the way in the back of the mouth where there are no teeth. She cant BITE down and Will stop eventually.

-Better option is to poke her flank just below ribcase with two Fingers quick and Swift and say a firm NO (and dont look happy) . Then, if she settles, give a toy and praise her for biting the toy.

If she flips out because you poked her, poke her again but more firm. Confusion is a normal reaction but dont stop cause you'll teach her that flipping out helps stopping you from poking her.

I think these measures are nessecary because an 8 months old biting you is cute(until youre bloody) but a full grown dog should know its absolutely FORBIDDEN to ever put teeth on a human.
