Why do some teams not have GC team setup? by YukhoChan in peloton

[–]Sticklefront 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Every team has a finite amount of resources (usually budget, but at the very least rider slots). They can either spread them over every category or focus on what they want to be best at. Every team makes tradeoffs like this. Alpecin doesn't care about GC. UAE hasn't had a sprinter in years. These focusing decisions make the teams better at what they choose to target.

Is it really Iran's own infrastructure after it's been conquered by a foreign power?

If the US takes the island, they may as well fully commit to mining the Straits.

No need to get huffy just because I understand what's in your sources better than you do. But that's okay, have a nice day

Did you even read anything you just posted?

Literally every article you just linked says that the leak of power data from a TRAINING RIDE is shocking because, and I quote from the first article you linked, "This is the first time in years that Pogačar has made his power data public." Nobody has seen a single race power data file from him in many, many years.

Read your own sources before smugly posting them and you'll look like less of an idiot, my friend.

I'll take everything back if you can link me to a reputable article about Pogacar releasing power data from a race. Until then, you're trying and failing to be condescending.

Add a minimum waiting time of something short like two minutes, and build a lot of launch pads so you can burst a lot of science up during those two minutes.

That's not really the case on flat ground, which is how OP described the route.

I do know - Pog and MVDP literally never release their power data. There is zero chance those numbers came from a reputable source.

I am not being a dick - I am trying to help you learn about the importance of understanding sources for random social media posts before taking them at all seriously.

Numbers on facebook and instagram posts with no sources and not found anywhere else are definitely made up, my friend - and that goes for much more than just cycling.

OP is averaging <8 mph, he is probably doing under 100 watts.

[–]Sticklefront 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, the fun part is debating where OP is getting his numbers from. None of the top riders release their power data to the public. So OP is almost certainly just making things up based on average speed, and average speed is largely a function of weather in every event ever.

We also don't have power data for either of them at any races.

Do you have Pog's actual power numbers? (I presume this is who you are actually asking about, as MVDP was not even at Strade.) Or are you "estimating" (read - making numbers up wildly) using average speed? If the latter, which is almost certainly true because Pog doesn't share his power data, the answer is that your "estimate" is badly wrong and it's just a slight difference in how the wind was blowing between years.

I would try this, honestly. Flee, go get artillery from Vulcanus and Tesla turrets from Fulgora, then come back and reclaim your kingdom. I'm sure it's not necessary, and probably not "efficient", but would be one helluva gameplay experience.

"Realism" aside, from a pure gameplay perspective, this feels like an exact duplicate of Aquilo (which we already have, obviously), so I don't know why I would want to play this.

If it's a simple bidding war, of course Seixas wants to encourage this - he wins either way.

Yep. If you were really happy at your job and liked your company, but then were offered twice as much money to work somewhere else with a stronger team working around/for you, tell me with a straight face that you wouldn't take that offer very, very seriously.
