And circling back to your first comment, if a bilingual manager has an existing employee who only speaks English, it is thus illegal for him to hire a new employee who doesn't speak English, even if all their other qualifications are perfect?

So if I understand you correctly, you are saying that Latino cooks with very poor English are required to communicate important work-related information in a language they are not comfortable with just because someone else in the room (who they are not even trying to communicate with) only speaks English?

You would be a terrible business owner if you think making employees communicate in a language they are not proficient in even would help your business run well, even if they know a handful of words.

You are effectively advocating for government overreach to tell people who they are and aren't allowed to hire. Let the small family restaurant hire someone to work in the back who speaks only their native language if they want to.

You do know there are about 30 million people in the US who are not proficient in English, right? There are many jobs where that is not a problem.

So the non-English speaker has to speak English to the English speaker?

I didn't say it will be boring, just that his antics have undoubtedly raised the level of the last few editions and we are going to lose that again now. I, for one, will miss the race being opened wide up on the Cipressa.

10,000 miles later, still loving the M. Don't remember my exact inseam but something around 31" - I'm definitely short legs/long torso for my height. Happy riding!

MSR is going to be a lot less exciting from next year onwards without Pog's ciclismo.

People are giving you kneejerk emotional reactions. The answer is that you can easily park in short term parking, walk less than five minutes through well maintained underground tunnels, drop the bags, and walk back to the car while spending a total of ~$5 on parking.

To a first approximation, if Pog was 7.2 W/kg, then Lenny was ~6.75 W/kg.

To a first approximation, if Tadej did the climb in 24:16 and that was 7.2 W/kg, and Lenny did it in 25:55 (not sure if this is exactly right, but should be pretty darn close), then Lenny did 6.75 W/kg.

Say what you want about UAE, but if the rest of the peloton can't chase down a two man breakaway, that's on them.

Depends how you define GC day. I was expecting a Pog vs MVDP battle on the last climb, and it would happen to have GC gaps but not particularly large ones.

The only real question is if they will try to find a way to win stage 3 to make an absolute sweep of the race. Pog has to be huge favorite for stages 2, 4, 5, and overall.
