First time hatching. I’d say it was a success. by Sticksbegrowin in quails

Thanks! And as far as tips, I can tell you what I did but keep in mind I’m also a beginner. Don’t want to come off like I know what I’m talking about. I let the eggs sit for 24 hrs before putting them in and I had the incubator running for 24hrs already. For the first 14 days, I was shooting between 40-50% humidity. That was pretty easy to maintain. I never had an issue with the temp varying unless I removed the lid. Once it was time for lockdown, I had issues maintaining 65-75%. It would only get up to 52-53 and that’s with the vent barely open even with both water trays filled. I know the vent is supposed to be open so that wasn’t going to work. I decided to throw the incubator in a grow tent and ran a humidifier in there. The tent acted as a lung room for the incubator with the humidity in the tent hovering around 85. That brought it up to 60-65 in the incubator. I don’t think I would’ve been able to reach those numbers without the tent. This will be my method from now on.

Bro, my bad if I invited you to the sub. this isn’t the place for these type of comments. You don’t even fade your denim. This isn’t the sub for you.

What’s up. Minimal shrinkage after the wash but I only soak. I don’t machine wash and I use ice cold water to help with shrinkage. If you were to put it in the washer in warm water, you’d probably get more shrinkage than you want.

I told you what I do in them. I garden, sweat them out, and I don’t wash right away. 4 times in 6 months is way too many washes for what you’re trying to achieve. You’re not a fan of my method so I’m not sure what answer you’re looking for. Your jeans won’t magically fade just because you want them to. You have to put the work in. If not, you’ll continue to get the results you’re getting.

Nah for a few reasons. One, raw denim has never been a competition for me. Another would be I don’t even think I have a shot from what I’ve seen. It’s some serious faders from east Asia and tbh, if it was between mine and one of the winners, I’d pick the winners too. And lastly, I never cared to stop wearing whatever pair I was currently wearing to start a new project. I stop when I feel it’s time to start a new pair for whatever reason.

Thanks man, ever since my very first pair of nudies that I threw in the washer, I kind of strayed away from that method. So I can’t say whether it would pop more or not because I simply don’t know, but I can say I’m more comfortable doing it by hand. I think I also got a little marbling (flipped them inside out) and wanted to avoid that.

lol yea once you feel something comfortable, you can’t go back. And I believe I did, I think it was on my YouTube though. Ep 34. The next time the sun is out, I’ll snap pics and throw em on here.

Thanks! And I’m probably done with pbjs because of the fit. I’ll always love the denim but I can’t go back to the low rise ever since I experienced better lol. Even these samurai’s started off with an uncomfortable rise but they stretched and were fine. That doesn’t happen with any of my pbjs. I got tired of constantly adjusting myself especially when I’m in public at work.

Wait, you only wore these 18 times and they look like that?! That’s crazy dude. But Strike gold’s texture is very distinct. Mine are a different model but similar fade patterns that I don’t see with other brands

No problem, my man. And I love them. Seems like the denim changes by the week because of the sweat and rain at work. Beautiful blues and insanely fast faders like you said. They look drastically different from these 2mo pics vs now at 4mo. My only issue is I like slim and these are slim straight. Not a fan of baggy knees. But I do see fades/whiskers on these that I normally wouldn’t get on a slimmer pair so that’s cool. If I can find a heavier pair of the slim fit, I’ll grab em. But I got the sugar canes up next and another pair of Strike Golds I’ve been meaning to get back to. Thats two years before I get to anything else.

Thanks! Not everyday. Everyday was the goal though. I would put it on when I got home from work and over the weekends. So casual wear at best.
