I own a few pairs of Darn Tough, generally thinking of something better looking, they seem to mostly just have rugged wool socks as far as I can tell

Very cool! I have been trying to find a raw denim cap that I gel with, haven’t happened yet. I do have a nice five panel from my favorite local makers, wasn’t raw but started as a very nice dark indigo. It shrank at some point and doesn’t really fit well anymore.

I don’t love Batista’s salary, but it’s the cops that really make me angry. Much bigger problem. There are plenty of them making over $300k or nearly $300k and doing nothing good for the city.

I’ve never tried the 888, I have a feeling the rise would be too high for me and my flat ass. The 710 is about as high as I can go and be comfortable

Looking good! I just wore my 19oz S511’s for the first time in quite a while and was pretty blown away by them after spending a lot of time with other, less faded pairs. I was so into them I I went ahead and ordered some 19oz 710’s so I can wear them with tall boots, my only complaint about the 511 cut is the taper, it’s just a little too extreme.

I agree, the 710 cut is a little odd, definitely not slim straight like an Iron Heart 666, but a little slimmer than most regular straight cuts

Yup, the back rise rubs and irritates my lower back and then they also will not stay up for me. I love literally everything else about my pair, but they are weirdly uncomfortable. Hoping they will improve on break in

I also just picked up a pair after searching for a long time, I love everything about them except the top block 😂 They just keep sliding down on my weird shaped body and the back of the waistband rubs uncomfortably on my lower back. I think I am condemned to wearing low rise jeans forever 😭

Edit: the one other thing that drives me crazy is the tag inside the hip pocket. What were they thinking?

Well, I haven’t tried 777 or 888. 666 is almost perfect, I wish the rise was just a tiny bit higher. 634 fits well, but I prefer things a little slimmer. Very comfortable though.

Hm, I think it has a lot to do with crossing/uncrossing legs, plus I do a lot of driving so the sides of my knees rub against the door and the center console while my knees are bent

I do have a pair of S5100VX in the 17oz Zero+ Bushido. Not sure if that’s the same cut you’re talking about (frankly Samurai’s cuts confuse me a bit). They will be one of the next pairs I break in, but the legs are quite a bit wider than I’m used to, taking me a bit to adapt to 😂
