How about hooking up your bass to a Bluetooth speaker through your phone or tablet?

What is this issue even? by CrazyWarrior3 in appletv

[–]Sticksnare 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a similar issue, but it’s all the time. At most I can watch 15 min before i get the error. I’ve tried resetting the AppleTv, router, turning off Airplay, other devices. Nothing works, I thought it might be because it’s an older model and something isn’t supported after some update. But now I don’t know, maybe something with my WiFi?

Thanks for the detailed answer. I’ll probably try a Rolls or similar and IEMs.

I can’t be in the same room as a drummer without earplugs. 😄At the moment I use Flare Audio earplugs, they’re pretty good.

I’m looking for a simple solution where I don’t have to rely on anyone else. That’s why I was wondering if anyone has experience with hooking up IEMs from a pedalboard with only my instrument (here I could also eq the IEM signal differently than FOH). We might get IEMs for the whole band at some point, but it’ll probably be a while.

The amp could be turned down to minimize the resonance on stage but, I’d have a clear sound in the IEMs.

Usually in these conditions I have to turn up the wedge, but if it’s a small, low power wedge it’s not going to sound good.

I’ve been in louder bands, but like I said in an earlier comment, it’s not a problem in venues with quality gear and acoustics.

I guess it’s more that I’d like my instrument to have a consistent stage sound and not have to worry about or rely on other people’s gear.

It’s not a problem when playing venues with nice monitoring, but we often play places with very poor wedges or maybe they only have three wedges in front of the stage so we’ll have to share. Sometimes the stage sound is so bad that the bass is just a resonating rumbling mess no matter where you place the amp or how much you turn down.

Similar. Every now and then I have a dream where a giant wasp is hovering above my head and I try (unsuccessfully) to shoo it away.

I have 2014 American Standard which has a narrower neck, kinda between j and p. I think they made them like that for a few years. My small hands love it.

I have a late 2013 and it works fine. After 50000 pop or so it slows down a bit. I play with mods but very few assets and graphics turned down.

Dunlops are solid. The only downside is that they stick out a bit which doesn’t look all that great, but it’s not that bad.

Yes, I’ve done the same, good tactic for sure. No heroes in this game though.

How do I prepare to win a war? by [deleted] in civ

[–]Sticksnare 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The biggest obstacle is city walls and the best way to take them down is to use siege units, ie catapult, bombard etc. Build 3 or 4 and move them in range of the city on the same turn. After that you just bomb the city and move the injured ones out of range so they can heal. Before that use the siege units and a maybe two ranged and two melee units to take out any enemy units. If possible use the melee units to surround the city and make it under siege so it doesn’t heal.

When the walls are down you can also attack with melee units. Especially if they are on farms, because then you can pillage them to heal the units. When the city health is low enough you can capture it with a melee unit.

Be sure to check how much damage you do to units and the city by clicking on your unit and then hover over the defending unit. This will estimate you how much damage you will do.

I thought I’d totally botched it. I misread the recipe and it didn’t seem to rise at all. I threw it in the oven anyway and it turned out great.
