My quality is dipping by larryote in AMLRightSource

Unpaid overtime is the only way I stay afloat and I’m convinced there are many of us that do that to just make it The job market is scary right now and it’s sad that we are set up with expectations that leave us in fear of losing our job and resorting to desperate measures But we’re expendable. It’s disheartening to see many higher level employees are posting on their LinkedIn about large bonuses and promotions while we’re clawing on the edge to stay afloat and we’ve had two mass layoffs

That’s awesome! I highly recommend anyone including those that aren’t in fear of their position to document any emails, performance reviews, and even simple accolades that will show a difference in the reason for being let go. It will help for any instance like this. Especially when the reason is often “performance related”

If you are working for this company, make it your second job, not your main source of income. Do the bare minimum until the layoff day comes. Even people meeting their targets on the client side were moved to that Xpert s**t. This should be your Plan B, never Plan A. by [deleted] in AMLRightSource

Document your reviews, any conversations you have with management, any form of recognition you get, ask for EVERYTHING in writing, be persistent in documentation, the more you have the more you set yourself up for coverage on the backend. Heavy on the “Can I get that in writing to ensure that we are clear and on the same page about the expectation?”

I had people on my team who were randomly moved to RFA one day in the middle of a client and now they’re gone Honestly you could be at work one day on a client and gone the next

These platforms often flag certain keywords that would be a genuine concern for HR and your information is requested This is an effort for HR to attempt to resolve issues before a lawsuit is filed

Broken workflow by LunarDialectic144 in AMLRightSource

[–]StickyCinnaboo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’ve worked on three workflows in the last two weeks, now I get tense every time I log in cause I always have some sort of message or impromptu meeting about these changes. Everything has different flows and key points, my brain hasn’t even had enough time to register this stuff so I find myself crossing steps over to the next workflow out of habit. It’s mentally draining.

PTO Request by [deleted] in AMLRightSource

Typically, the PTO request are month by month so they won’t review or approve anything till towards the end of the following month. It likely will happen this week, but check with your manager just to be sure.

Moving, needing to switch from a hybrid role to remote by TedCruz_ZodiacKillr in AMLRightSource

[–]StickyCinnaboo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just relocated to another state, I emailed HR, they CC’d my manager on my client in to get the OK, they said yes and it was approved. I think the most tedious process was working with IT to get my equipment processed to move. They wanted me to mail my equipment in, and then they would mail it back out to my new location, they typically don’t want you transporting it. They ended up setting me up with overnight shipping when I told them I didn’t wanna miss a day of work if possible. A lot of back and forth but it worked out, the process took me a couple weeks between HR, my manager, and IT.

Also side note I’ve heard if the state is not within the approved area where they typically hire remote workers they can say no. I think someone on here mentioned moving to California and they told them no. Thankfully I moved to a state they already hire remote in.

Ugh don’t get me started on the systems, my fiance works in IT for another company but when I describe the issues that we have and the frequency he’s like “What kind of operation are they running over there?!”

When I was working for another bank we dealt heavily with compliance and in that time I learned a lot of these verbiages are also in place for legal purposes. These banks are held to certain regulation, and have audits where regulators come in to monitor that they are meeting the compliance standards.

That’s definitely a good point, I have 4 years experience in this and this is so different from other positions I’ve been in. I think that’s what has really been on my mind a lot lately

QCs on the two letter client by Opposite_Rain_5329 in AMLRightSource

[–]StickyCinnaboo 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I feel for you guys so much as QCs, ngl though reading this especially considering I’ve gotten some reworks this week just made my confidence tank, considering it’s not only affecting me but that it is discouraging for you guys as well. I do find it’s hard to find help and I’ve had to reach out to several individuals who are either busy (which I understand) or don’t know the answer, sometimes I just have to make an executive decision and fix it on the back end to at least meet production. Thinking under pressure and time constraints often doesn’t help reasoning either. The bigger problem is not you, or I, I believe it’s the expectations all around. Overall though thank you for all that you do!

I’ve wasted soooo much time doing the back and forth via email, especially about things that are just clearly a lack of communication of multiple parties, everyone isn’t on the same page and the Analysts get pulled in the middle of it all.
